I love that it comes with the safe removal tool for blades! Great set!

I ordered this for my wife. This arrived in its own product box. Inside the box: 100 x 10r blades, 1 x scalpel handle #3, 1 x pair of forceps and 1 x used blade box. First there were no instructions included in this set which my wife was not too bothered about. She tried to open the forceps and they are welded shut so these are useless. She did have a scalpel handle many years ago so she was aware of how to load the blades. This handle is thin and the groves that you slide the blade on are not that prominent which makes it a little hard to load the scalpel. The only thing that she would say is an acceptable quality are the blades themselves as they are individually sealed. My wife thinks you can get better products by purchasing these items separately. She feels that the price point of $35.99 (which has been reduced from $39.99) is pricey when you consider the lack of quality in this set. With these points in mind she feels it is only fair to give this a 3 star rating.

This is a good kit for anyone starting off using a scalpel whether for dermatology or medical use. The scalpel blade holder is a bit thinner than those used daily in a surgery suite but will still fit blade sizes 9-12 and can be used. You get 100 10R blades which do not have a cutting tip but a shaving edge. It also comes with a sharps container and hemostat for installing and removing blades from the scalpel handle. I actually like the hemostat the best in the kit.

I got this pack mostly for the hemostats (so handy!) but was also curious about derma planing so it seemed like a nice set. The hemostats and scalpel holder seem to be of sturdy metal, however as another reviewer noted, there are burrs down where the two blades come together. When the hemostats are locked shut, the burrs are not noticeable, but when they are open you could easily snag your finger if you run your finger around the top edge of the blade. I haven't opened the blades yet. Everything comes in a nice plastic case for storage which is nice. Note that when you open the shipping box, the hemostats and scalpel holder are slipped in separately from the box that holds the blades. Just so you are aware when you open the outer box. I'll have to defer to other reviewers more expert in derma planing to give an opinion of that part of the set.

This product states that it is "Ideal for estheticians, dermatologists, and skincare enthusiasts" - I fall into the skincare enthusiast category. I am no professional and not in the medical field, but I am diligent about my skincare and that includes regular dermaplaning.I can't believe I didn't look into something like this earlier. Not only is this kit more effective, but it is WAY more cost effective for me. I typically buy the cheap multi pack "razors" but consider them single use and throw away after every use as they dull quickly and are no longer sterile. Th blades on this are way WAY sharper than what you find on those at home dermaplaning razors. I could not believe how much more came off (as far as exfoliation and peach fuzz) compared to the razors I had been using. That being said, you do have to be very careful as it is much easier to create little cuts.I use the razors only one time then dispose, but for 100 blades for 40 dollars, this is entirely more cost effective than what I was using. They came individually wrapped and sterile, and the handle is significant and sturdy. Once put together, it works great. It also came with a removal/disposal case, which is wonderful since you don't want razor blades hanging out in the garbage. It also came with very sturdy and professional forceps, which I believe are for installation and removal so you don't cut yourself.I removed one star due to the fact that there were zero instructions included. I still don't really know the proper way to apply and remove the blades. I'm sure it is super simple, but it's simple if you had instructions showing it. These are SHARP and having to mess around figuring how to get the blades on and off the handle is kind of dangerous. The first time I tried to remove it, I broke a blade and had to search to find the broken piece on my floor. I still don't know what the proper way to use the included "remover" is. A simple instruction sheet would have made a world of difference.

Very nice kit, great value. The blades are sharp, and there's certainly a lot of them. I wish the handle was a little more substantial, but at this price i'm not complaining.

Forceps are not hospital quality but they are good enough. Blades are sharp and what you expect. Handle is nothing special and does its job. The disposal box. I feel like i have been living under a rock because i have never seen this before. It works awesome for removing the blades and keeping them safe. I need a few more of them.Overall, the collection of products is more than adequate for the price and I would recommend.

This derma planing kit works great. At first the blades scared me a bit. Once I used them they were very easy. You have to hold them at the right angle. They are easy to attach to the wand holder and easy to remove.
