Got this for my dad who is a real estate appraiser. I never would of thought that finding a good legal size clipboard would be so difficult. It's very sturdy and opens up for extra storage. Well built and is environmentally responsable.

Very I have been ordering these clipboards for years. Over 10 years from this make and every order the metal is getting thinner and thinner. I wonder if they are ever going to stop or will it soon be tinfoil. Still does the job, just not as well. Our clipboards from 10 years ago are going strong the newer ones won't last that long. Too bad....

MANUFACTURED quality is very good ....... hinges and clips work well.One other review noted that inserting sheets into the clip is a bit awkward ........ this is because the clip has top and bottom teeth and generous tension which holds sheets tighter than most clipboards ....... so its a trade off between easy insertion or having sheets well secured.DESIGN OF COVER is poor ....... cover is hinged at bottom of clipboard and really GETS IN THE WAY when you are trying to write !Cover should be hinged on the left for right handed users and hinged on the right for left handed users.Or better yet, cover should fold ALL THE WAY BACK under the clipboard.I use my clipboards on construction sites (rain, dirt, getting dropped) and the plastic ones don't last long.I was delighted to find this WELL BUILT clipboard (and happy to pay 4 times the cost of a plastic one) but was very disappointed to find I could not write in it comfortably.If hinge design can be improved it would be an EXCELLENT product.

I bought this because I am often "out of the office" for my work and I need a folder that holds my papers yet looks professional enough to attend meetings with higher ups.It is well put together and is sturdy.My only complaint is that it does have very sharp corners!I once dropped it in my car and it gave my dashboard a pretty deep permanent gash. If the manufacturer could find a way to round out the corners then they would have an excellent product.
