My adult son and I got this because we downsized vehicles to an ebike and wanted to be able to get to work and back if it’s rainy. Last night we had torrential rains and flash flood warnings in my area. My son had to go to work so he used this. When he got home this morning, I asked how it went and he said that he stayed really dry. He just got a little damp down by his ankles.Even though I’m giving it 5 stars, he did say it’s a little small on him. He’s 6’3” so he couldn’t use both thumb loops. Maybe you could make one a little larger for people his size.Still, it’s a great product and we highly recommend it!

I haven't exactly used it while cycling yet, but it saved me from a downpour while wearing my laptop backpack. It was perfect coverage for my petite frame.

Wow what a great product to keep me dry on my e-scooter. It fits over my handlebars and mirrors well although I wore it as a poncho to keep me and my bag dry. The hood fit over my helmet! It’s soft and comfortable. Highly recommend!

I am riding in a winter riding competition and needed to figure out a better rain set up than I had. (I had been soaked in a cycling rain resistant jacket and rain pants.) I had been curious about bike rain capes, but had never actually seen on. I ordered this one because the price was good and it looked as though it would work for me. I received it yesterday and rode it in the rain all day today. 50 miles in slight to moderate rain. It did a fantastic job. All of my unexposed clothing was dry. And even my legs, which were mostly covered, were dry. This was a great purchase.

First, the positives: the material and construction seem to be very good. The material is light, breathable and seems to be very waterproof, as the water tends to "pool" between the rider and the handlebars (this would happen with any poncho). My upper body stayed very dry, but comfortable, since there's air circulation under the poncho. Now, the negatives: the biggest drawback is the overall coverage of the poncho. I am just under 6-feet tall and ride a large/extra large bike. I found that my hands/handlebars are barely covered by the poncho and required a lot of adjustment as I was riding to maintain coverage, even with the clips attached to my brake lines.Sitting on the bike the side coverage is poor, as the poncho leaves you exposed from above the waist down. Part of this is due to the short back. The back is much shorter than the front, leaving about 1/4-1/3rd of my back exposed. There is nothing to hold the back in place as well, so the back is flapping/blowing up as you ride giving less coverage and creating a lot of noise/drag. A clip or belt would go a long way in securing the back in place. At the end of a 4 mile commuting ride in moderate rain, I found that the poncho kept my upper body dry down to my thighs, but below the knees my legs were just about as wet as without the poncho. And my bike does have full coverage fenders. So really, the only benefit vs. a decent rain coat was dry thighs.I will keep this for hiking/camping use, it does appear to be well made overall, lightweight and packable, but on the bike the benefits are negligible over traditional rain gear, and though they are a bit more hassle, rain pants plus a rain jacket would offer much better protection.

I was going to get the "shower curtain material" type of poncho first where you get 4 for $21 but realized that it wouldn't last long. This is very light material but durable and will dry fast like an umbrella. It has a pocket that is rain proof and zippered with a "hood" over the zipper. I'm glad I made this purchase. Bought an e-bike and may be forced to ride it in the rain. Not an option but a necessity for me. Complicated story. I also have a scooter and if my husband chooses to ride it to the mall he can use this and stay dry. It's nice that it has a little visor over the face. It's the worst when you are in the rain and the rain is beating straight into your face and you don't have an umbrella.

I really wanted to like it, so I willfully ignored the reviews that stated the poncho would flip over with the lightest of winds. Well they were definitely not exaggerating, I think I got wetter wearing this than if I had just not worn it at all. Also, the hood rim makes it impossible to see out of it, since its floppy so it doesn't stay in place. If you are trying to find a raincoat to use while cycling, just go with a normal rain jacket. This one isn't worth it!

So far was able to test in the rain once while riding. I got the high visibility yellow version since in miserable weather drivers do have reduced visibility, I do want to be seen on the road. It has clips to attach over your handlebars and they do seem to be a bit flimsy but so far it did work well on keeping me dry on my bike. Does not prevent splash up so still need to protect your feet. As it is open from the bottom it is far more breathable than my old rain suit so I don't get soaked with sweat by the time I get to my destination. It is rather tight in the head area trying to put it on though. I do like it comes with a small bag it can be folded into for easy carrying so if I see possible rain in the forecast I can just drop it in my backpack and take it with me. Speaking about backpacks I was still able to wear mine under this just fine.
