Good quality and price. Instructions were lacking but figured it out. Net is tight and easy to adjust and so far has held up well.

In case you're into that whole Brevity Thing: High quality pong net kit may be great but overlooks common install issue: preexisting net hardware... Here's the lowdown:We have a very common classic Kettler folding aluminum top table. By it's design, the net is fixed in the middle of the fold, attached to neither plank of the table. Our table is probably nearing the 20 year mark, but the surface is still terrific. This is such a well made hardware and net set that I figured I could make it work.Since there is no way to clamp it in the middle, it has to be clamped to one side of the table or the other. Not only does this make for unequal playing surface, but it puts the gaping gap where normally the net would be into play on the other side. This would compromise play way too much.I did attempt to install the elaborate but effective net system (I never did get the string through the hole in the pin-see pic!) and I can see that IF CENTERED, this net would be a great set up with ultimate net height and tension adjustability.HOWEVER, I doubt I am the only one with this issue and I will have to either get creative or destructive to my table to get this net installed. A workaround, or perhaps a double clamp assembly is needed as the foundation for this net on a Kettler. (Kettler does not offer replacement bracket assemblies, just nets). It may have been my oversight in observing the installation style before ordering, but I thought I could somehow adapt it to my needs. I cannot. For that, the value drops as do the stars from this review.

The net that came with my table doesn't stay tight so I needed a new one. This was reasonably priced compared to other name brands. The quality of the clamps is good. They are heavy duty and have padding on both sides to protect the table. The fabric on the netting is okay. It is a little light weight, but should be fine for a basement ping pong table. I fumbled my way through the assembly because there were no instructions provided. Eventually I found some pictures on the product page when I got stuck on how to setup the tensioning mechanism. Before the pictures I thought that you tie the chain to the string and the balls of the chain fit into a notch at the bottom of the post. Alternatively, based on the product page it appears that you thread the string through a small hole in the tensioning mechanism on the underside of the post; then you tie the chain to act more as a handle than holding tension. This doesn't seem intuitive enough to not include instructions. Overall the brackets are great quality and once you get it setup it stays tight and works well. The main issues are that it doesn't come with instructions, the net is light weight, and the string has too much give which allows for a good amount of stretch when trying to tension the net.

This is a good net at the price point and its tension assembly solves any drooping issues. I can say that any “Net” Ball” or serve is properly sent over or blocked by this net. This net performs its function well and, after going through the initial installation, it is fairly easy to remove and reinstall as needed. For more details, check out the pros, cons, installation notes and photos for this review:Pros:1. Tight Net that deflects imperfect shots easily2. Uniform Net Height (easily adjusted to the correct height)3. Clamp mechanism will not mar the table surface4. Net Includes a height measuring tool to ensure proper game play5. Functions better and is stronger than the net originally included with the tableCons:1. No instructions were included in the box, but instructions are provided on the Amazon product page – I would not deduct a star from the rating for this as this net perform fantastically during gameplayInstallation Note:The photos on the Amazon product page show the net tensioning string on the outside on the net pole on each of the clamp pieces. Ensure the tension string passes through the inside of the net pole on each of the side clamps – there is a hole on the edge of the net pole that will allow the string to pass through to the tightening assembly. The tension string and how it passes through the net post is visible on the attached photos.Maybe I am wrong, and the product page photos are correct, but if so, I like the wrong way better!Photo breakdown:1.
