Measure, check state guidelines and ID your catch all in one place! This Salty Bones Florida folding ruler is lightweight, flexible, durable and its all new updated double-sided design provides even more fishing details than ever before.

  • New and improved! This redesigned Salty Bones Florida saltwater folding ruler (lawstick) is now double-sided! With the extra space comes lots of improvements: This ruler now has an increased text size to make the numerous details easier to read, enlarged Salty Bones fish art to ID your catch, a measuring instructions guide, plus it has nearly double the fishing information of the previous ruler version! In addition, it now includes a leash point - simply hook on a lanyard or any small clip to keep this ruler close and to prevent it from floating away.

  • What is it made of? Made of a lightweight, durable and semi-flexible PVC, this new lawstick still only weighs in at barely two ounces. It is fully weatherproof and waterproof, the imagery is UV protected and just like the previous version, if this ruler falls into water, no problem - it floats!

  • Dimensions: Open 1.25” x 36.4” x .2" and closed 1.25" x 12.9" x .4". Fully opened, you can measure a catch up to 36", but when not in use you can fold it down to just 12.9" in length, allowing it to nicely fit into almost any tackle box or fishing bag.

Bought this for my son at Christmas and he loves it! Well made, waterproof and packs easily into tackle box. Very helpful to quickly identify salt water fish and correct "keeper" sizes.

The ruler feels like it made of premium material and gives you info on size limit on certain fish. That super helpful when you got your fish in hand and can't reach your phone to see what size limit or what's in season. The customer service they provide is above and beyond. I never received my first ruler and I explained to them exactly what happened. They resolved the issue that same day and sent me a replacement. You guys rock!!!

First of all, there’s a whole lotta info packed on this ruler but thankfully it wasn’t a problem to find and read the laws I needed. In the photos everything looks a little small, and I have old eyes, but the text is large enough to read clearly even without my glasses, so that was a pleasant surprise.Secondly, before I got it, I had some concerns it might be easy to snap or break. I didn’t plan on abusing the stuff out of it, but I knew it would get used a lot and since it says it weighs only a couple ounces I knew it wouldn’t be heavy duty. Again though, I was pleasantly surprised when I held it. It’s definitely lightweight, and I think it’s made from some sort of plastic foam board. I can bend it and twist it a bit, but it holds up just fine. It does have a bit of a flex to it, and if I were to hold it from one end while it was fully extended I’m sure it would bow a little… but since I’d never measure a fish like that that's not really much of a concern, but figured I’d point it out anyhow.So it’s easy to read and I feel it’s pretty well made, but then there was my last big concern…. is it actually accurate? Let me tell ya, if you do a lot of fishing you probably know there are a lot of junk fishing rulers out there. I’ve seen some that were off by more than an inch, but I hadn’t heard anything about this one so all I could do is hope for the best. When it came in the mail one of the first things I did was put it up against a measuring tape, and this sucker is spot on. I was so impressed, I even took some pictures.Oh and one more bit I’d like to add. While I hardly go out on my boat anymore, I still wanted to test if the ruler really did float on water. I usually pier fish so if it fell from my usual spot it's pretty much gone haha, so instead I just tossed it in my pool. Sure enough, it stayed right on the surface. I could even bring it to the bottom and it would float right back up. All in all I give this thing a huge thumbs up, it’s probably the best all-in-one fishing ruler I’ve come across.
