So far I've used this set for plastic, aluminum and Stainless. It works well, and I'm happy it came with the rouge compound.

I purchased these for use with a drill and they were totally appropriate for polishing a metal desk I stripped and sanded. They're very sturdy and still stand up after completing 2 pieces of furniture. The polishing compound are quite small so I recommend purchasing separate, larger bars if you're using for a large job. Overall very satisfied and plan on purchasing again.
