It was just what I needed

The sanding belt is great. It fits as advertised, and is holding up well so far.The sanding disk was a bit disappointing. Given the bundle, I had assumed it would be an adhesive disk, but turns out to be a hook-and-loop. I don't know what I would actually use this for.

I recently got a WEN belt sander with a 6" disc but it didnt come with an assortment of sandpaper which was a bummer. I came across this package that came with different levels of grit so I can tailor my sanding specs as needed.

Slightly more narrow than the stated 4”, but I’d still recommend.

I have a Craftsman sanding station that has a rotatable belt sander and an attached disc sander. This set seems like it was made for this setup, including some tack cloths! The belts and discs come in various grits and wear well. I haven’t run one of the belts to failure but have looked at the construction compared to my HF-bought belts which seem to fail too often. The HF belts are seamed together with some sort of thin tape that is the failure point. I suspect they fail because too much heat transfers through the thin tape to the glue. The belts in this set are formed by overlapping the ends, which are glued. I think this might be a better setup as the overlap is thicker than the HF seam tape.

The sanding belts work well on my bench-top sanding station. They track alright and the seam doesn't bounce the work piece much, only very slightly. The belts didn't seem to load too much. I like having the 400 grit because I also sharpen some of my older chisels on this sander.I can't use the disks because my bench-top sander needs pressure sensitive adhesive disks and these disks are hook and loop. I'm disappointed that the listing didn't mention this. The tack clothes seem good and it's nice that they come in individual envelopes.

Belts fit and worked on my machines (both currently set up for particular pattern-cutting operations). As another reviewer noted, the belts are slightly less than 4" in width, but for my purposes this was fine. The belts did appear to possibly be more prone to clogging than my usual coated belts of the same grit but this could also have been the individual wood pieces being worked. It could also be an effect of the coating used on these belts--I've not worked with them enough to really have a good feel for that yet.I tried to test the discs, but found they wouldn't stay in place on any of my disc sanders. If I get desperate I might try using contact cement to attach them to the benchtop disc sander. These aren't "bad" belts, but given that they are close in price to known suppliers I will probably not order them again.
