In working on remodels I often run into subfloor problems, especially with variable heights of material that makes installing the finished floor not an easy task. I like these nasty belts that really dig into the material and speeds the work of getting it smoother before doing the finish work on top. I am facing that right now, and the belts I was buying at the big box stores cost quite a bit more than these..These might have a little less grit that the expensive belts, but it isn't all that noticeable. At times having too much grit can be a drawback, especially when working on something I ran into earlier this year, which was primer having soaked into sheetrock mud on the subfloor. Those belts gummed up so much they just started burning their way through it. In that case less would have been better. But at least the belts sanded far better than the orbital sanding disks. Those were worthless. The first belt I was using seemed to do every bit as good of a job as the named brand ones I have been buying. Even if these don't last as long, for this price I'm not about to get concerned. The one thing that does them in very quickly is sanding subfloor that has staples or heads of nails that have not been removed or countersunk. Even the best belts shred very quickly under those conditions. So I view these as the bargain basement buy.

Good deal for 10Pcs of sanding belts. they fit perfectly on my sanding tool. the 40 grits is relatively coarse and will grind through the wood fast. I will probably buy another set with a higher grit for finishing jobs and light sanding. There was some blue residue on the belts but it did not affect performance.

These are pretty good sanding belts for the price. I got the 40 grit and the grit is pretty uniform and seems durable. They fit my belt sander perfectly and the backing material is thick and strong. Like most very coarse belts 40 grit belts don't stay 40 grit for to long but they turn into a 60 then 80 grit belt it's just the way it goes and I get good service life out of them because while there's certain jobs I need a fresh belt for many jobs a half worn out belt just works better. Of course it depends on what you're using them for I tend to use them on 25% wood and 75% steel so they wear faster on the steel.

I ordered a 10-piece set of 40-grit sanding belts for my handheld belt sander, as their specifications matched the requirements in the owner's manual. When the belts arrived, I tested them for fit, and they were perfect.Currently, I am building various furniture items using reclaimed lumber sourced from an old house. The wood is covered in multiple layers of paint and has numerous blemishes, making 40-grit sanding belts the ideal choice. These belts effectively remove the old paint and surface imperfections, allowing me to transition to my orbital sander and finer grits afterward.Overall, my experience with these sanding belts has been very positive. Their price and performance are highly competitive with name-brand options. If you are in the market for sanding belts, consider this product before making your decision.

Fits perfectly on my 3x21 sander and works very well. While working on a project the belt stayed in place and didn't wander to one side or the other. Great product

Put this on my belt sander yesterday, tried it out, and at first, the belt wasn't centered properly on the sander, so it was getting a little hot. That didn't degrade the belt in the slightest though, so once I fixed it, it worked like a charm, and no wear on the section that was off center to start. Really nice sanding belts here. My last one literally just separated in the middle of the belt when I was using it. I'm thinking that won't happen with this one, it looks to be very solid, and there's no thin places on the belt like the last one had. Very happy with this product, will certainly purchase more of these once this pack runs out.

My review of Clebay 3x21 Inch Sanding Belts 10 Pcs 40 Grits Heavy Duty Aluminum Oxide Belt Sander Paper for Wood, Metal, Stainless Steel, Automotive, and FurnitureThese sanding belts are good for wood but I don't think they will last long on metal. I cleaned up a piece of aluminum that was about 36 inches long and the belt was worn down quite a bit in about 20 minutes. The belt got hot and pieces of grit were coming off. I was still able to use the same belt to knock the edge off of a block of wood, but there was a big difference than when hew. I think if you use these mostly of wood they will be okay.
