I have a small dog and this is just the right size. She is 13 pounds now and I want to keep her close to that for life. This is perfect. My dog is half Yorkie and half Chihuahua. A Chorky.

Ordered at the recommendation of my vet, as I now have to monitor my cat's weight for medical reasons. I can get a useful enough estimate with this. However, the design is clunky and inefficient– there is no on/off button, and you either have to live with it constantly being on, or take the batteries in and out before each use. Half the time it tends to falsely register about .3-.4 kg in the process of replacing the batteries.The directions suggest that you step on scale yourself with your baby or pet in order to weigh them... I weigh 70 lbs and still wouldn't feel comfortable doing so. This thing is tiny; I doubt it would seriously withstand a normal adult's weight + an animal or infant.It's not worth $20. You're better off buying a cheap scale meant for adults and weighing yourself with your child or pet.
