THis was a second purchase of the same brand overhead rack Excellent product as the 3x8 recently installed. This 2x6 system required a longer ceiling bracket to cover the 24" joist spacing without overlap of the standard 27" brackets. I contacted Saferacks, and in one call they promptly sent out a pair of 54" brackets (no charge!) Thank you Brenda at Saferacks!

Great product, sturdy and as advertised. I am not a handyman, but was able to install the shelving with not too much of a problem. Shelf holds a lot of items off the garage floor and is adjustable! Good price.

This is a very sturdy product. However, it is not that easy to assemble / install. You need to find ceiling beams or add a wood member above the ceiling to support it properly. I managed to install it on my own, but you would be better off with assistance. Have to well plan out where you will put it as need proper ceiling support. Well worth the effort, just be ready to take your time to install.

The racks themselves are quite easy to put together. The instructions are adequate but the pictures could be better.The challenge is getting those brackets mounted on the ceiling. I was up over 10 ft, in a couple of corners, and measuring was tough. Once you get those up, the rest is a breeze.Racks are solid and well constructed.

Bought one unit and was impressed with the quality of the item so I bought two more for the garage in our new house with 9 foot ceilings. Some had a bolt or screw missing and extra screws and bolts. Used extras from one to to provide for missing ones in others. Not easy to install unless you have some degree of skill. Instructions were okay for knowledgeable person. I was able to install by myself. A useful but missing dimension in the instructions is the shelf depth distance between ceiling bolts. For the 2 foot deep shelves this is 23 inches. Once you know this the effort is reduced. Our contractor has impressed with these and asked for information about them. I would definitely buy again if I need more storage in the garage.
