The alarm requires three LR44 batteries. I put new batteries inside the alarm in Aug 2023 and despite never using the alarm or light, discovered that I needed to replace the batteries in January 2025 when I tested the alarm (there was no sound despite the light still coming on). Prior to January 2025 I would just checked the light and assume that if the light came on it meant that the battery was still good. LR44 batteries can be kind of hard to find and relatively expensive, plus a tiny screwdriver is needed to take the back over off, so I will probably look for an alarm that can be recharged through an USB C port.

Hola no me gustó este producto porque o trae la pila incluida y es tan fácil quitar la tapa y ponerla, además a mí no me funcionó aún con la pila puesta.Creo que pueden existir mejores opciones

This is a super cute personal alarm. It is disguised as just a normal keychain but as soon as you take out the pull key, it is super loud. Theres a button with a flashlight and even though its not super powerful, it can produce a decent amount of light during the night. After these first few months of having it, the face has started to wear off as well

I really like this alarm because I thought it was cuter than other alarms. When I got it, I tried out the noise, and it's comparable to another alarm I have. I like that I can use it as a keychain, but the actual pull for the alarm is a different strap.

I recently purchased this personal safety alarm and, like some other reviewers, I encountered a minor issue upon arrival as the device was dead. However, I had the foresight to order a pack of batteries along with it, which turned out to be a wise move. I highly recommend doing the same to ensure you're covered in case of a similar situation.Once powered up, this alarm proved to be incredibly effective. During a brief 1.5-second test, the sound was so piercingly loud that my neighbor, who lives around 12 yards away, heard it from inside their house. The accompanying light is also impressively bright. While it may not be suitable for navigating a pitch-black forest, it provides ample illumination for finding what you need in the dark, lighting your way home, or taking your dog out at night. One peculiar design flaw I encountered is that the keychain tends to detach from its designated nub when you open the back to replace the batteries. It's a minor inconvenience, but worth noting.Additionally, it's worth mentioning that this alarm lacks a strobe function and only has a single speaker. While these features could enhance its functionality, they don't detract significantly from its overall effectiveness. In conclusion, despite a few minor quirks, I am overall satisfied with this personal safety alarm. Its powerful sound and bright light make it a valuable tool for personal security, and with some extra batteries on hand, you'll be well-prepared for any situation.

The black one is way louder than the pink one! They also aren't that that loud. The plastic also feels cheap.*update* It is one year later and both have died after only using them once. Not the battery, the actual sound box (the random flashlights still work).
