I have a standing desk. If I’m sitting, I use this. At no point is my core NOT engaged. It took a while to get used to (a year?), but do you know what my lower back finally DOESN’T do after using this and standing all day? It doesn’t hurt. You know what makes my back hurt? Reclining all day in an armchair.Great idea, great product.

I came across this product all the way back in 2016 when working for a major retailer. My new job has me sitting at my desk for majority of the day and since I work from home, being active while sitting at a desk becomes a challenge.I decided to purchase one for my home office and it has helped so much with my back. Some may say you can buy an ordinary exercise ball and achieve the same results. However you must keep in mind exercise balls tend to roll. With the Zenergy chair it stays stationary due to its 4 feet. For those looking to stay healthy with a work from home job, take a look into this!

Good chair to balance and swivel and bounce. With that motion, it can help relax the back and build the center core tummy muscles and abs of the belly.

I've had the swivel ball chair for over 3 years and it finally needed to be pumped up a little. It was very difficult to remove the base and I contacted Safco customer service by email. They responded immediately, connected with me on FaceTime and walked me through the process. That's amazing customer service for a product so far out of warranty. Thank you! The product is great and has stood up to vigorous use use by many people (including a college linebacker who's demolished other chairs in my house just by throwing himself into them too energetically!). Personally I find that if I sit on it too long it does create some numbness around the sit bones. On the other hand it passively encourages movement and an upright posture. I much prefer this to a chair for sitting at a desk for under an hour.

Very cool looking. This seats keeps you doing a little bit of exercise for your midsection, which is great for long hours seating. I wish it was a little bit taller, or had the option to increase the height. Overall I like it.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about sitting on a ball all day, but after 5ish months of sitting at a desk on a folding chair, I really, really needed a change. But I didn't want a plastic mat and it's so hard to tell about desk chairs without sitting in them. But my kid loves his ball chair and I thought it was worth a try because it's probably more healthy anyway. Turns out I like it quite a bit. It's not as bouncy as a regular yoga ball, and it doesn't roll around, but it does have a little bounce if you're feeling restless (hello, 90-minute meetings, I'm talking about you). And yes, it feels much healthier. My back feels much better at the end of the day than it did sitting in a regular chair. My only complaint is that you're supposed to be able to make it shorter by taking the extensions off the legs, but one of them is on so tight I've been unable to get it off. I'd have liked to try it shorter, because it feels just a bit too high to me. I wish there was an easy option to replace the legs with more sizes of legs.

I love the look of this "chair." It went well with the style of my house, it was high enough (I'm using it at my kitchen table which is higher than the average desk), and I thought it would be great for my posture. Alas.... it's just too uncomfortable to sit on for more than an hour or so before you have to get up and move around again. I am on multi-hour long calls sometimes and can't really just take a 20 minute break each hour. I'm very sad to let it go, it's such a pop of color and fun in the house, but it must be returned.

If you want a chair that's cute but also a ball, this is the chair for you. I like that I can tuck it under my desk when I'm not using it. I got the red one and it's adorable. I use it for a few hours in the middle of my work day alternating with my old office chair and it helped my lower back a lot.

Everything I was looking for! I considered the Swopper ($700ish) and another double-sided mushroom looking chair for $300 (I forget name). I also considered the more common ball on a stand chair. This chair looks great. I often work in the dining room off the kitchen. The chair is very discrete (I chose black). Fabric if perfect for my needs...simple and modern and appears well stitched.I like that you have more room for your legs than the very large round ball that would be required to achieve the same height. I easily have this at 23"...can deflate if I want a bit lower but height is perfect for me (I am 5'4" sitting at a standard height table). I thought the pump would be tedious to use and I would be pumping all night...but it took less than 10 minutes. Chair was easy to assemble - less than 30 minutes including brief family interruptions.I also love multipurpose furniture...this can go in my living room or children's play area or bedrooms. Very versatile!!!

I purchased this ball stool for my home office as an alternative to a traditional office chair, and it's a big improvement over my regular chair, if only because the bounciness of it reminds me to move more often. I do think it may engage core muscles more than a typical chair does, since the ball's shape and give does force you to stabilize yourself a little, but I wouldn't expect any miracles from sitting on it. I'm relatively athletic, though, and it may do more for someone with weaker core muscles to start with. I find myself getting uncomfortable less often using this chair compared to a typical chair, but I still have to stand up throughout the day to relieve the discomfort of sitting for long periods. It's one of the more comfortable chairs I've used, though, and I'm not sure it's possible to be fully comfortable sitting all day, even if you have a good chair. The chair's very easy to assemble, and the hand pump that comes with the chair isn't all that bad to use - it took me only a few minutes to inflate the ball fully. I didn't have problems with small surface area/sweet spot like some others had, though I'm admittedly on the small side (5' 3"), and it may be different for larger people. The chair seems to be a good height for a standard computer desk with a keyboard tray and allows your arms to be in an ergonomic position while typing and mousing. The lack of wheels seems like a smart choice, in case you lose your balance while sitting. The gliders on the feet move well over hardwood without being too slippery and haven't scratched my floor. It's true the mesh cover isn't as taut and seamless on my chair as it is in the product photo, but it still looks sleek and modern.
