i like that this l.o.t.o. item came with 5 key-locks; and cam accommodate them all in the box. i can use the box for l.o.t.o. with two people holding key-locks up to five people! great material for training purposes but the only thing i could think of to subject to a “mobile” l.o.t.o. is remote control for power; not teally a great idea for safety reasons. best for home use i guess; for game controllers, tv remotes or emergency cash! hahaha!

The box itself is very durable. The 5 locks are very smooth and numbered so you can't mess up your keys with the wrong locks. I'm pretty sure I could toss this off a 30-foot-high building and it would survive more or less intact.

It's not that wide but it's a little deep lockbox that you can put electronics in for some family time or you can put important papers in it

Overall this is a good value, the box is solid, the locks are acceptable for their intended use.First, the box. It's more rugged and better built than I was expecting. The sides are acrylic, not polycarbonate, so don't hit it with a hammer, but I tossed it in the back of a truck with a bunch of tools and it was fine after a country drive. The latch is solid. My only real complaint is that the rivets were placed over the protective film on the handle, so it's hard to get it off entirely. Personally I don't care, but if you're a neat freak, you'll want to go at it with tweezers. The box is easily big enough to fit a bunch of tags, hasps, zipties, your lunch, whatever, along with the locks. The locks are pretty good. The keys are side cut, which is nice. I don't know how secure the locks are, but if you have to worry about that with LOTO you've got bigger problems. I did try all five key/lock combinations and they only worked in their designated locks. The only real issue I had was that the machining on the locks or keys must be a bit rough as it's not smooth getting them in, a little graphite would probably help. They're a bit lighter and flimsier than most I'm used to.All in all four stars, I'm only deducting one for the slightly flimsy and rough quality of the locks, but for the price I'd say it's a good deal.

If you are shopping for a lockout tagout box, I'm pretty sure you know what they are and what they're for. Briefly, it's a box in which to put the keys/controller of a piece of machinery while it is being worked on, so that no one can accidentally turn it on while someone is working on it and get them killed. This metal box comes with five numbered plastic locks, each with two matching and numbered keys. An unusual and useful feature are the clear plastic sides, so that you can see what is in the box without opening it. This is helpful if multiple boxes are in use. The box base has two small round holes, one end is ventilated, and there are multiple holes in the lid and upper side in which to snap the locks. The box can be opened only if everyone's locks have been removed. A sturdy carry handle is on the lid, which is hinged to the box. Note, please, that this is not a security box to keep valuables in. The box is metal and the sides are plastic, as are the locks. It's meant as a part of a workplace safety protocol, not to keep your grandma's pearls in. Now, me being me, I've found another use for it. I'm turning it into a haunted doll "containment" box--it'll be a fun prop when I'm finished. I received it through the Amazon Vine program.
