I love that it came with a practice bottle. Using it is super easy and I recommend to get the practice bottle because if you don’t know how to use the real deal, how do you expect to trust it.

Bought this in case we have a bear decide to investigate our cabin. I'm glad it came with the inert spray as I had built up the distance of effectiveness in my mind and seeing it in real life not spray more than 20 feet really puts it into perspective if you think you're shooting a bear in the face from a safe-ish distance.

My family is out in nature a-lot, and we may also rely on the bear spray if a human intruder tries to enter our RV. We all tried the test can, which is full of water, just to see how the unit works. It was much more powerful than I had expected, so it was great to have this test experience. Hope we never need the real can, but nice to know it's there if we do.

This is a great product for my wife, whether she's out walking the dog, or has it near the bed when I'm working. I actually lime that this comes with a training spray. Gave her an idea how far the spray goes, how to it feels to spray. You need this to familiarize yourself with this. Great training aid. I absolutely recommend this.

Expires in TEN MONTHS!!! SO expensive, such a ripoff! They guarantee a three-years from the manufacturing date, but this junk has been sitting on the shelf forever. I am requesting a replacement with the proper expiration date!! Just think if I had gone walking with my toddler eleven months from now and had not checked the expiration date! In the area where we live and bears are plentiful and encounters are very common.

The practice can was great. I felt confident if I did have to use the real thing that I could deploy it quickly with one hand. Luckily there was no need for it. The cans are good for three years for other hikes.

Must have worked. Wore it on my belt for 2 weeks and didn't encounter any bears:) Honestly I absolutely recommend. Even though no bears were encountered, I felt comfortable in the Grizzly inhabited mountains of NE Idaho just West of Yellowstone. I believe buying the inert practice spray was beneficial as I didn't want the first time I tried the spray to be under vital circumstances. The one downside to the package I purchased is that is doesn't come with a holster for the bear spray.....which I purchased separately as it is definitely a necessity. Bear spray in your backpack will do you no good when needed.Jim Speegle
