these are a good product, convincing to the novice thief ..the led light and motion light worked in -35c weather in northern Alberta. i expect to change the batteries out sooner then later being winter but its worth it for peace of mind...the "heads" in town are out of control!

This "camera" is not just for show in the dark, as if someone would see it. This cost about $10 more, but it has a light sensor AND a motion detector so that, only at night, it lights up the area!! NOTE: There are no instructions (not even using the QR code) probably because it is so simple. So for those of you who read instructions, here are mine: The center unit unscrews easily for the white casing, just turn a little clockwise, and you will see the notches it goes back into. The battery compartment cover slides off. When mounting, use only one screw at the base to so that you can turn it in the dark as you see exactly the direction you want it pointed. Then go back the next day and put the other two screws in place. Easy!

I'm not interested in wiring the house up to a Nest or something similar, and this fake camera is just an extra little deterrent that I love! Wish it didn't have the brand name on it, just in case someone is already familiar with it (but probably wouldn't be). Motion detection works great.

I tried to use a real camera via Wi-Fi, however this was for my mailbox area which was too far away from my house for Wi-Fi to connect.. I bought this two deter vandalism which is common in my neighborhood unfortunately with mailbox destruction.. After finding a place to Mount it works perfectly with no complaints... Time will tell with battery life. I did use three lithium batteries. Hopefully they last a while.. so far five stars for its intent and function.... Also just for helpful suggestion, a lot of people complain about camera, not rotating downwards with the shield on top.. they need it the other way.. this is easily corrected by undoing the screw at the base of the light and flipping the unit the otherDirection and putting the screw back in.

I brought this to deter people from urinating infront of our entrance door of the building. I do have a real camera inside that they can't see. I made a whole and added a wire to make it look even more real. Use some heavy duty double side tape and stick on the glass. High enough so no one can take it. I have a light outside so the motion detecter don't need to go on.

These are amazing just to use for lighting dark areas of your yard but I've had two people mistake them for real cameras and one was an alleged ADT rep. So easy to install and adjust. Bright light comes on illuminating area long enough for me to walk by or get my key in the door. Red light flashes intermittently all the time giving off security camera vibes. Love them.

It actually arrived broken- it looked like it had been previously used, there was a little piece of plastic that fell off of the camera base. I could've returned it but I taped it back on and its working fine now. It does the job just fine, thank you.

Overall im very satisfied with this item and might buy a couple more. No instructions but pretty easy to figure out. If youre struggling to figure it out like i was, it takes 3 AAA batteries which arent inclided. To put the batteries in you just twist the black part slightly and it comes right out. Theres even a small empty space inside which could be useful if you want to hide a key! It looks realistic and the motion light works great! Keep in mind though the motion light wont turn on unless its dark. The one conplaint i have is that the way it was assembled straight out of the package, the base was upside down. It might be a minor detail that only someone like me with so much attention to detail would even notice but with a real security camera, the visor that sticks out over the lense is there for a reason and must be at the top and the base should allow the camera to angle down do the users desired degree. This camera was assembled so that it can be angled UP instead of down which is useless. But all it took was to loosen 2 little screws, spin it around, and tighten them back up. Also installation was a piece of cake. It just takes 3 included screws and incase you want to install this camera on drywall it also includes the screw anchors youll need to do that.
