I purchased this replacement battery in October/November 2024 I have noticed the last few months, that the computer would not stay charged and dies even when computer is totally shut off, I don't think the battery should be doing this and I am not happy that it has not even been 5 months since I have purchased this.

Worked well in an older HP laptop to bring life back into it. I have an older laptop that I had replaced the battery in around COVID for my kids' online schooling, but after that the laptop basically sat on a shelf and the replacement battery died. That same kid is in HS and needed a laptop so I decided to revive the HP again, and bought a new battery. So far it works well, holds a charge and has decent battery runtime.

Battery came as shown, with tools.I have been using it for a few weeks now, and it has been working great! I will update this review in a few months to update on speed of degradation.I installed the battery as per instructions, following the charging and decharching instructions as called for upon first instillation, and have had no issues.Battery lasts unplugged for at least 4 hours, stretching maybe 5.Charges great.

Fits my envy perfect. Reasonable price and easy to install. Hardest part is taking all the screws out. Tip - if your laptop won't turn on, while waiting for new battery, take out old battery and then the power cord will boot up get laptop going. I never knew that in the past.

I was happy to find this battery in stock and ready for a Prime delivery - its an unusual size and design that HP didn't use in too many of its laptops.It arrived quickly, was well packaged in a static bag insite a very good foam-lined manufacturer's box which was packed in another larger Amazon bix with air-bag protection.It was an exact fit for the SA04 battery it replaced (Original HP had swelled so much the case bulged), but, one of the mounts had a curl in it so it could not be attached to the laptop frame. It clearly didn't happen in shipping - it must have been that way when it went into the box at the factory.No big deal, there were plenty of other screw mount points for this battery, and the laptop sees little transport, so I'm not worried about one corner not being secured.It worked fine (the HP boot process noted that the ROM settings needed to be reset on the first boot since the battery had been removed, but after a reboot it was just booted fine.A battery check showed that it arrived with 84% charge, and it seems to be taking and holding charge well.I'm quite happy with the battery. I dinged it one star to the bent mounting point, but functionally it is just what I expected.
