Works well with Dell Inspiron 5593 as the diagnostic test shows which is the photo I posted. I actually read the little booklet manual that it comes with. It said to install the new battery then start the notebook WITHOUT the power cord attached so that the machine will recognize it. It did, so I plugged in the power cord. Full disclosure, I recently replaced a battery for a Dell 5559 also with an Amazon battery. It works fine having first starting up with the power cord plugged in, so I don't know if keeping unplugged is actually necessary. Anyway, the manual then suggests to perform three cycles of powering up to 95% and then draining to 5%.. I believe this is to augment the OS management of the battery. Again, I don't know if this is necessary, but I'm on my second power down cycle. And no, I didn't do it for the other battery and it works fine.So far the battery lasts for 3 to 4 hours with a good amount of Excel and Word usage (I save files early and often!) along with browsing and email. I recommend this battery, especially given its price.

I like this kit. It had 2 small screwdrivers included and great instructions. It made the installation easy. It took me about 15 minutes to replace battery. The price was great and extended the life of my laptop. I would definitely order again.

Worked like a charm on my dell, and was an exact fit. Replaced the old used up battery and is holding up well after 7 days. Well worth the price and I don't forsee any quality issues, so should be good to go for another 3-4 years. Very happy.

Con:Did not last more than about 90 days.Prevented laptop from powering on and required a visit back to Dell for another battery replacement that cost more than 4X the cost of this battery.Pro:Easy to install.Excellent fit.
