This worked great. I had some glued on wall paneling I was trying to remove. I got most of it off with a hammer and pry bar, but there was a section that was proving to be difficult was no luck using the hammer and pry bar. Next day I brought over this tool and it tore right through it like cutting warm butter. Great tool. I’m glad I bought it

Pros:I used this with a Dewalt bit to drill holes in Concrete and I was shocked how easily it worked. I have a lot of other Ryobi tools, so it's nice being able to share batteries across all of them. I find myself going around thinking of other places to drill holes in concrete just because I can...Cons:I can't think of any.

Was very useful to remove backsplash. I didn't use it for drilling yet, only hammer. But it's robust and I really like it.

This thing is making quick work of my tile and vinyl adhesive demo project and it deserves every bit of the high marks I'm posting with this review. But be prepared: it runs through batteries really quickly. i made the mistake of not charging these three batteries overnight, thinking i could run two chargers and cycle through the batteries all day to make up for it. I was wrong.Really it should be corded if it pulls this many amps but I can't knock it for that. I drank Ryobi 18v Kool aid and these "bare tools" save me cash. And I can't afford that Milwaukee one that topped my search results.

I am a tile setter who got frustrated with the sore hands and blisters from chipping tile out by hand.I bought this roto-hammer to remove small rooms of tile and backsplashes. IT WORKS GREAT! It is super lightweight compared to other demo hammers in its class. Great for getting into small places like around toilets and cabinets, I was very impressed with how fast and easy it is to take up tiles , and clean morter of the ground. Another great battery operated product from Ryobi..I have used it to clean up rough edges on concrete pads, and drill holes to use Tapcons. It works great for both of those, however , it does not work for chipping out concrete pads, you will need a larger hammer for that..This is a great tool that should be in a tiler's arsenal

So, this isn't a pro tool, but it *IS* a real rotary hammer. 3/8" holes in hard, high-aggregate concrete take half as long with this as with my Milwaukee M18 brushless "hammer" drill. The Milwaukee is a GREAT drill/driver, very torque-y and the brushless motor really is more efficient, meaning longer run times on a battery. But, although it's hammer setting *WILL* drill the holes I needed, the Ryobi is definitely better at that job. Even if it's an inexpensive, lower-end tool the fact that this is a real rotary hammer that was engineered to use SDS(plus) bits and make holes in hard substances is clear. I wish the battery life was better, (I'm using the 3.5Ah lithium "basic black" batteries, and with my 3/8" bit I only get about 25 holes on a charge) but it makes short work of putting big holes in concrete and I don't have to worry about extension cords. The hammer-only chisel mode is a nice and unexpected feature at this price point too. A solid little tool if you need to drill a bunch of holes in masonry and don't want to spend the big money a serious SDS rotary hammer will set you back (even corded!). And although I haven't used it beyond testing to make sure it works, I'm sure the hammer only mode would be great for tile removal or even light demolition.
