I got this for tires. But I also can use it for a finish/pin nailer, and a wide crown stapler. Works great. Especially how compact it is for camping trips since I air down for driving in the sand.

I was at the racetrack one weekend and had forgot to bring my air tank for adjusting tire pressures. I asked someone if they had a tank or inflator I could borrow. They had this Ryobi 1 gallon unit. Once I used it, I knew I would have to have one. Perfect size, good capacity for tires, so much faster than the electric pumps, and doesn't run out of air like a tank. Its a bonus around the house for small air compressor needs! I do think it's a little cheap of them not to include a 1/4" coiled hose, but they can be had for $14 or so on amazon.

I have a lot of tires to check and fill. I have a small electric motor compressor but the Ryobi is portable and has good volume so I use it always. Works great.

Bought this for my husband to use so he didn't have to lug in his big one as we were putting new trim in our laundry room. He really likes that it is portable and doesn't have to be plugged in unlike his others. It worked well for what we needed it for. Would be great for trim nails or just blowing things out, airing up tires.

I bought this to fill tires after a beach run. First thing to know is that you have to buy the hose & fittings separately. Not a huge deal but expect to spend another $40 or so.Overall, it inflated the tires from 19 to 36 pretty quickly when the tank is full so a few things (1) Fill the tank before you go (2) the knob does have to be all the way up. Originally I set it for 36psi and nothing but after turning it all the way up, worked fine (3) I filled two tires quickly and it went slowly until I changed the battery so change after the second tire.Bonus was with an extra fitting it helped blow the sand out of the truck and other things when packing up!

As I expected this compressor can't really run tools. All I wanted was something that I could use to blow off tools and vac filters at the end of a work day and this barely does that. I basically use it for about 5 - 8 seconds and the tank is depleted, go and do something else, then come back and repeat the cycle. I am currently looking for an air nozzle with a smaller orifice. Maybe that will help.
