Not very good quality, ok as long as you don’t look too closely

I accidentally came across this compound bow and arrow holder one day while shopping on Amazon. In the pictures, it looked really good, and I liked how it's made. The video made my mind up and does a great job detailing the product. It says it takes 5 minutes to setup, I think that ends up being1 minute to put it together, and 4 minutes to hang it. The installation is really that simple. 4 Screws and you are done. Then it is just a matter of finding a 2x4 behind your wall, or using the included dry wall supports for the screws. One thing the Video and pictures don't quite capture is just how good the craftsmanship is and how great this rack looks. The Pine wood is amazing. If I had seen this in person, before I saw the price, I would have guessed it cost 3-4 times as much. It is just that nice. If you have 1-2 Bows and want a really nice way to hang them, while adding some nice aesthetic to a wall, this product is for you.So happy I bought this and I highly recommend it.

Very decorative, looks good on the wall. I think it is a good value for the money. It was designed for 2 bows, but it has 4 pairs of peg holes (only 2 pairs come in the package) and it will easily hold four bows. The thing that I had to modify were the metal hooks that I think are rather weak (at least for 4 bows), plus they were attached with too small/weak brass screws and one of the screws had its head broken off. I replaced them with bigger, stainless steel screws in a way that the bottom screw of each hook (each hook has upper and bottom screws) goes into the lower wood board while the upper screw crosses into the upper wood board. This way the two wood boards cannot separate (they seem to only be glued together and I am not sure how strong is that bond). Overall, I like it in spite of this small modification...

The pine was all cracked including where the dowels go in to adjust where your bow sits. The finish looks as if a blind person applied it. I am all for equal opportunity but QC should have caught this. Not impressed considering that about $.75 of material was used to make a $70 product. Maybe this was a one off but I am returning it and will not be buying another one. Instead I will buy a 1x4 and spend 30 minutes and make one myself.

When I received it the bottom triangular shape of wood had a big crack in it, but it still holds my compound bow well.

I seen a lot of reviews saying how it was cracked, and as I looked at mine i seen it was too. But that is the nature of the type of pine this product is made from once it dries out it shows signs of cracking, these do not effect it at all, and if some people would have read the first page of the instructions they would have seen that it's a natural distress of the wood as it dries out. Assembly went quick though I recommend when putting the dowels in a few drops of wood glue. Took me 5 mins to assemble and all the parts where there. The cracks in the wood give it a wonderful hand made look. My bows fit it nicely, when setting the pegs be sure to measure your bows so they are the right distance apart there are 4 sets of holes on each side. this looks awesome in my finished off trophy room that we have paneled in mossy oak break up camo and trimmed in cedar. I would recommend this product to anyone. The first thing I would also tell them is read page one on why the wood has cracks in it! Just like buying lumber you can rarely find a 2x4 without a knot ot crack or some sort of split in it. it's in the nature of wood when it dries to crack. and this looks D&mned good. If I had more bows I'd buy another one in a heart beat well worth the money!!!!

This was a gift for my son who just put it together this morning, hung it on the wall and hung his bow on it. It looks great and the bow fits great on it as well. It was quick and easy to put together - we used some wood glue for added support as others suggested. It looks better in person than in the picture. He is only needs to hang one bow, but we are doubtful that it would hold two (at least not two of his style).Overall, I am happy with this purchase. However, I feel I should mention that I did have to order three of them before getting it right. The first arrived and the front plate that is stamped Rush Creek was deeply scratched. This is not something that happened during shipping, it was clearly packaged that way from the maker as the wrapping was still secure around it and the box it came in was secure, etc. The second was also scratched, though not as badly, and one of the side pieces was deeply cracked. They are made from dried wood, thus some cracking is expected and fine - but this one made me question if it would stand up over time. When the third one arrived, that front plate was fine. We switched it out with the one from the first order, returned the others and are now very happy with it. If not for Amazon's great return policy, I would not have gone through this much trouble and would have returned the 1st one and searched for an alternative. Thanks so much, Amazon for your great customer service - as always!

Ok, first of all, it's June of 2012, so keep this in mind as to when this was written. As with other reviewers, I got the wrong item when sent to me. BUT!! EVERYTHING has improved!!The item was shipped and received by me very quickly, when I opened the box I saw what they sent me was the square bow rack that is more expensive than the triangle one that I ordered. Not a bad deal, but I really wanted the triangle rack. I jumped on Amazon Friday morning and requested a replacement and explained in the reason that I ordered the triangle bow rack, not the square. I was able to print out a return label, and then noticed that it said it would ship soon, but wait a minute, Amazon shows that it should be here Saturday. Are you kidding me? Over night? Well, no joke. I had the RIGHT bow rack before 10: am the next day. They have their act together now and I am very happy with what I have. Now a review on the bow rack. I had it together in about 5 min flat. Very easy and looks fantastic. Very rustic! One word of advice, pick up some wood glue as the kit does not come with any and you should glue the joints before you bolt them together. Is it worth the money? Very much so! Does it look great on the wall? YES. There were some cracks in the wood, but it adds to the look and does not affect the strength of the rack.If you were thinking about getting this rack, do it. It's great!
