FET Shield

DO YOU KNOW ABOUT FET?

Here at Southwest Archery we do our part to support archery and wildlife conservation

Archery manufacturers are required by law to pay 11% in Federal Excise to the IRS for products they sell, regardless of country of origin.

In 1972 archery manufacturers self-imposed this tax as a way to ensure the sport would grow into the future.

In 2018 50,000,000 Dollars was paid to the IRS by brands

Revenues generated by the FET are collected by the IRS and sent to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. That agency redistributes the money to state wildlife agencies for habitat restoration, hunter education, wildlife research, public-access programs, and other high-priority nationwide conservation projects.

Why are you telling me this?

  • We want our customers to know what their money goes to support
  • Please support brands who actually pay their taxes
  • Many of our competitors do not pay these taxes. Help us support wildlife conservation in the USA

It fits two sets of limbs, actually, if you need that, but it is designed to just fit one set more comfortably. I use it for my takedown longbow, which is 2 limbs (one set), a riser, and 12 arrows. I bought one for my husband, too. Lightweight, easy to carry, and it feels protective. I like that it has the front pocket to hold extra stuff like my string, stringer, bolts and glove, etc. only thing I wish were easier is the arrow holder. Gets the job done but getting them back in is a bit of a hassle. Maybe shoving them in blindly is the wrong way, but that’s the only way that has worked for me. Ha. So glad this was available here because it is often sold out at other retailers.

Like the bag and the storage along with the arrow tube. I'm using it with the Ghost takedown longbow and it fits fine. I didn't find the arrow tube a problem. Those arrows aren't going to move or rattle in the tube. Good pricing too.

Purchased this after seeing someone else have it at archery range! Pleased with design and portability! Bonus is tube to hold arrows comes with it & extends to whatever length.

Great bag, after I slide the limbs in the pockets, I can rotate them down and out of the way. I leave the string on the limbs as to not disrupt the number of twist in the string. Great product for the price.

I brokedown and bought a case because I was tired of taking down the recurve at the range and just putting it back in it's original box. This case is really nice, great price, and has a few extra pockets for parts and accessories. Definitely recommend.

The case is very simple in design, making it convenient and easy to use, but I would only recommend it for light use. The foam padding isn't very thick, so it might not protect from other than light impact. The isolating sheaths for the riser and individual limbs are a nice thought, but there is no padding for any additional protection of those pieces. I put bubble wrap around my components before putting them in the sheaths for a little added protection. The zippers are only standard zippers, not heavy duty, and the wire "framing" of the case makes one of the zippers difficult to close, which it turn makes me feel like I might break the zipper since it seems so light. The accessory compartment is a nice thought, with adequate size for most smaller items, but internal pockets would have been a nicer for organization. The arrow tube is a very convenient idea, but the tight space kind of concerns me with arrow removal, since I have turkey feather fletching. All in all, the ideas and design are nice, but I'm not sure how they compare with some of the more inexpensive cases advertised. If the components were a bit more heavy duty and substantial, I could see the extra cost, but I don't have another case to actually compare durability to value.

I personally realy like it a lot better than my old case the only reason its not a 5 is that the hard case for the arrows, its a little tricky getting them in and out you have to take it apart but I do realy like this product

This my first experience with traditional archery after 40 years with compounds. I'm having a blast. The Spider XL has flawless craftsmanship. Arrived promptly.Shooting 30 lbs for now while I learn aiming and tuning techniques. Plan to get a set of higher poundage limbs eventually. Have shot it everyday for a few weeks now. No complaints.

Been carrying one riser and two sets of limbs, along with a hip quiver and arrows. The exterior pocket is big enough for some basic tools and a snack, and I like the carrying strap. Not as many specific pockets as other setups, which I think I prefer for a general-purpose bag.

For the price you get a great bag and a handy arrow case/tube. The side external pocket has lots of room and, if you really need to, there is room in the main pouch with the limbs and riser. I'd recommend this case to anyone. My little nit picks:1. I wish there was a way to keep the limbs on their side instead of having them lay flat.2. The arrow holder that sits inside the case is great but its a pretty tight fit. My concern is its too tight and larger fletchings could get smashed up. It would be great if the end with the screw on cap slightly tapered out to give that little bit of extra room.Again this are nit picks/suggestions, this is a great case.
