Wanted one of these forever and finally bought it. I love it a lot and it makes mending a dream. Only thing is that the grooves on the wooden disc are very deep which is great when working but a nightmare if your rubber band gets stuck. I used a dremel and shaved in a little opening so I could pick out rubber bands. Otherwise the tool is incredible and I am happy with my purchase

Because of the size of the disc base, the darning of the holes can be challenging if you want to make a seamless weave patch. May have been somewhat of operator error as I'm unfamiliar with these gizmos.

Instructions look like they were translated by Google Translate but there are so many tutorials online on how to use these things that I didn't even consider that this item would come with instructions at all. Wood is smooth, metal part easy to use, no complaints

The gap in the wood disk is so narrow I’m not able to fit denim and both of the rubber bands needed to hold the fabric and the loom into it. Measurement for that gap is not available in the ad.It will work on socks but not anything much heavier.

Look, this isn't a real Speedweve. It's flimsy, the hooks aren't evenly spaced, the wood is unfinished, you need a lot of replacement rubber bands, and I had to watch about fifteen instructional videos online to figure out what I was doing since the provided instructions were almost non-existent.But I'm not a professional seamstress. I just need something to patch holes in my socks And for THAT, it was ten bucks well spent.

The instructions are in terrible English and do not provide even minimum guidance on how to use the product. All four rubber bands broke immediately on trying to set up for the first time, and two are required to operate. The disk seems too small for the size of the loom, I was only able to make a ~1.25 inch square patch.Similar products on sewing and embroidery websites sell for more than $70. Maybe you get what you pay for?
