As you roll on a RumbleRoller, its firm but flexible bumps work like the thumbs of a massage therapist to knead and stretch your muscles. This action erodes trigger points, helps restore flexibility, and brings quick relief to common types of muscular pain.
ROCK AND ROLL
RumbleRoller's massaging action can be further intensified by switching from a rolling motion to a side-to-side rocking motion. The bumps provide a wiping-type massage pressure when rolling, but are more resistant to flexion when loaded sideways, and dig in even deeper.

Have been getting massage treatments and working to resolve some ongoing tension issues in my back. This product was mentioned, as a side note, in a video about back problems. We took a chance and I find the product to be very helpful for me. Again, FOR ME. This may not help you but for my situation - neck stiffness and upper back pain, this product is very helpful for alleviating the pain. I prefer the longer roller so I can lay on it - the shorter one doesn't work so well for balancing with in between your shoulder blades.

Ended up returning because I didn’t like the feel, but I can still see this being helpful for more targeted pressure. Rolled fine, nice and durable, good firmness, just not for me.

This might be the best all around roller you can buy. If you are looking for one all around roller this is the one. I have one of these at work and one and home and they are my go to for pre-workout and soft tissue work.

J'hésitais à me procurer celui-ci (ayant déjà le rumble roller standard depuis des années), mais le travail avec le Gator est different. Il fonctionne particulièrement bien pour moi sur les ischios/quad/mollets pour bien "dégrossir" le travail avant de passer à l'autre rouleau.

I am pretty new to foam rolling, I got the grid role just 5 days ago and received my rumbleroller original today.My primary need was stiff / knotted upper and mid back. Just 3 minutes on the rumbleroller made my back loosen up. Way better than grid roller just basis my initial use itself.Definitely recommend.Edit: I have now used it for a few days and can't recommend this enough. My back hasn't felt this great for months now.

It's amazing how much of a difference the Rumble Roller has made in my life. For over 4 months, I have been dealing with intense pain due to an unfortunate concoction of a "too much/too soon" running injury, shoveling 2 feet of snow, plantar fasciitis/heel spur and significant weakness in my core muscles. I ended up with bilateral gluteal sprains which were extremely painful every day, all day. Yes, I did have to rest as best as I could and the recovery naturally would 'take time,' however, the Rumble Roller exceeded my hopes and expectations. Every morning I would be very stiff in the hip, back and gluteal area. I would spend 20 minutes 'rolling' them out, and the roller really helped 'loosen' things up and significantly decrease the pain and stiffness that I was suffering from and allowed me to go through my day without the need for pain medication.Don't be discouraged..because initially when you roll, it can be quite painful..but that is because the muscles are tight and knotted up. Once you 'sit on' that area with the roller for a minute or so, you will literally feel the muscle loosen and the pain will lessen. You will feel the nubs 'dig in' to the muscle to help relax it. This would really help those of you who pay $50+ a pop to get frequent massage treatments. You can do this (myofascial release) in your own home any time you feel pain or tightness.My pain level has decreased from a 7/8 to a 1/discomfort. I continue to roll as needed, and am always finding new spots to roll and loosen the muscles up (e.g., calf muscles, quads, mid back and even my arm (put the roller against a wall and lean/roll on it).
