We aren’t using this for its intended purpose, but instead for a shelter for our tortoise. She loves it. We leave a side open for her to enter/exit - again, it’s not how this is intended to be use but it’s perfect for our application. I put this together with ease alone, it’s very roomy and the material is pretty thick. There is a place where the lid meets the frame that you can lock it with a padlock, carabiner or a bow if that’s your jam. The color is a basic brown and blends in.

Looking to clean up a corner in the garage. Don't need a weatherproof heavy duty unit but this mid sized box is a bit hard to find. Some engineering in the design of this box, little tricky to assemble. Final product works fine, looks nice, right sized for my application. Good price here at Amazon for this box in this size.

Looks good and it went together fairly simple. It does take two people for some parts just to make it quicker. I like the colour and the flat top is great for resting things on.

I liked that it arrived in a timely fashion. I disliked the fact it didn't have any hardware to assemble the box.Edited to add:After a month, I was able to get Rubbermaid to send me hardware. Actually, they sent a whole new deck box. Assembly was easy, I ditched the stupid lid straps to keep the lid from opening too far, as I was using this for bulk deliveries, not deck cushions. So far, it has held up to numerous summer storms with out issues and the packages inside have been kept dry. I did toss a couple of bags of gravel inside to keep the box from being blown away. Other than the initial delievery, the box is serving it's intended purpose.Edited again: After 3 months and numerous summer storms, this deck box has stayed dry inside and my packages have been unharmed. I am also using a small snap link (carabiner) to keep the box closed so the wind will not blow it open. I have been very pleased with it so far. This winter will be the real deciding factor.UPDATE: After Helene, this box has been great. It survived the rain and winds without an issue. And the two bags of gravel kept it in place. There was NO water inside, the little snap link held the lid down during the winds and rain. With all the roads and bridges washed out, it will be a while before it gets used with all the roads and bridges washed out.

This is a perfect storage container to set on the deck and keep the house looking tidy - it's not too big and not too small... I purchased the grey version which has a clean look to it that fits the look of my house. It's well constructed - needs a little agility to put together but is well designed so thank you engineers. Overall it was nicely priced and adds a classy touch to the home.

Assembly was going well. When I got to the step where the left side front panel is folded and connected to the rear side panel the front panel was 1/4” shorter in height then the rear panel. The holes for mating did not align correctly. The assembly could not be completed. From the looks of it, the dimensions of the mold the panel fabricated with was incorrect. Could be an issue for an entire manufacturing run of the product.

Updated: loaded it with firewood and it seems more sturdy. Seems it will do the job.I’m not confident this will be as sturdy as a previously purchased Rubbermaid Rubbermaid Small Horizontal Resin 18 Ft³ Horizontal Shed. I was so happy with the sturdiness and easy assembly of that unit, I purchased this unit too (for size and color in a different space). While it looks good, assembly was kind of a pain (did it myself, but needed a drill and a socket wrench and had to prop up some pieces during assembly or it would collapse). I plan to keep firewood in it, and hope once it’s loaded it won’t feel so wobbly.

We have one deck chair that requires a cushion. The dimensions of that cushion required a larger storage box than I would have liked but I didn’t want to have to bend the cushion when storing it. So, now I’ve got room to store other stuff as well as the cushion. Assembly was fairly easy. I never have trouble assembling things. I always read the instructions. A second pair of hands would have been nice in a couple of places but I was able to manage on my own. Most of the screws went in just fine with a screwdriver but, there were four screws that I never could have gotten in without a power driver. The box is nice and sturdy. I have some concerns about how waterproof it will be in heavy snow. There are a couple of areas that I fear may allow melting snow to penetrate. The instructions say to remove large amounts of snow from the top of the box. We’ll see what winter brings. If you don’t live somewhere that gets a lot of snow, this will probably be a great storage box for you.

Item arrived in good time, all parts included except tools to assemble. It seems to be a fairly sturdy box overall and plenty big enough for deck furniture pillows and for most delivery boxes.Much of the assembly was pretty simple, though the directions are pictorial only with no narrative, so it's not hard to apply parts, like the hinges, backward or upside down, then it has to be undone and redone later when you need to use the hinges.The U-bolts to hold the sides together work at the top and the middle of the sides, but the one at the bottom that hold the sides to the base are very very difficult to insert fully - I have not succeeded yet after many tries. Therefore, the sides gap at the bottom from the base and make the box less weather resistant than I would like.So, if you are lucky, and all your pieces fit exactly as they should, you may have a solid and weather resistant box. But, if you are unlucky, like me, and the pieces just don't quite fit at the bottom, you have a box that is most helpful on sunny, dry days only.
