I like the Rubbermaid Brilliance series, this is another great product. Airtight, you can hear the release of air when you open. Holds a #10 can of freeze dried food when after opening, to help preserve for a longer period than if left in can with cheap plastic lid for the cant

It befuddles me why people are willing to pay so much for plastic containers. But after comparing the cheap ones from Dollar Tree and local grocery stores to this Rubbermaid 16-cup Food Storage Container, I get it. It is one of the best on the market, at least from what I have found in stores. I ordered it to store Allulose, as my concern was that other containers were not tight enough to keep any unwelcome guests out. The last thing I need is an army of ants marching down the kitchen cabinets (No, ma'am! Not today!).I must say that this Rubbermaid container is very sturdy, easy to grab with one hand if needed, and has a really tight closure/lock and seal. My only issue is that it is so tight that sometimes I struggle to open it, which I have to do often since I use Allulose every day in my coffee. Perhaps I'll save this one for something else like flour and get a different one for sugar replacements.

Purchased these Rubbermaid Brillance storage containers to put sugar/brown sugar/flour into. Our old cheap containers were not doing the job and some ants decided that they wanted to partake in all of our sugar supply also. Not going to happen! We have been using Rubbermaid Brillance storage containers for food leftovers for years with great results. So when ants arrived, so did these new containers. Problem solved!These Rubbermaid Brillance storage containers are well made. They are good and sturdy, not thin flimsy plastic. Lids fit very tight and really do seal air (and ants!) out. Very dishwasher safe and can use in your microwave with no problems. Containers do not stain like cheaper plastic ones do.You may pay a bit more for these, but they are really worth the money.
