Strips were good but didn’t work for the bottom of our chairs that set on stadium benches. So we glued them to our chairs. The strips are strong and well built.

Product arrived and sat in it’s original packaging for a couple of weeks before I got around to using it and upon opening the package, I was hit with a strong odor. The smell was so strong that in the time it took to call my sister to smell, it had al ready leaked out of my room and into the hallway.The tape seems to still be usable but I think I’ll have to save it for outdoor projects as any indoor use will cause the room to smell like a cheap motel.

Used as a buffer between a trailer mounted rack and the frame. Hopefully it prevents any paint damage (and therefore prevents any rust from forming between the mount) to the trailer frame. So far it’s been great. Easy to install and isn’t noticeable now. I’m happy with this product - it’s a great quality, durable, thick rubber strip with a strong adhesive backing. Great value!

I used it to give my keyboard a new life as the rubber feet had gone hard and losing glues and falling apart. I cut off 2 10" pieces and tape it on and my keyboard stay where it is, so works great great. Problem is it has a smell actually make my nose tingle and run. I am hoping that will go away in a few days.Updated: 3/6/2025 reduced to two star from four, it works but the smell just would not go away after 2 months. It stinks and stings my nose.

There are likely a million uses for this product, and is great to have on hand in case you need it. My use case is rather complicated - a combination of vibration damping and gap sealing in an outdoor setting between two unlike materials that expand and contract at different rates based on temperature. Much of the application does not rely on the adhesive as the motor is bolted to the composite, but about 6" is purely the awesome 3M adhesive. I've been using this for two months, from 7 degree to 70 degree (F) temperatures without issue. The thickness is listed at 1/8", but it is just a hair thicker because of the adhesive (about 10 gauge, .140 inches).If I ever have the opportunity to separate the washer/dryer pair, I will be adding some of this between them, and wish I had some on-hand at the time of installation. Like I said, a million uses. Keep some in the tool chest, you will be thankful to have it on hand, and this is not something I have seen in the stores.

I got this to put on the bases of some desktop items to keep them from slipping. It works great! They adhere reliably and provide a great no-slip grip to the desk. The material is fairly thick so be aware it will add height to whatever you stick it to but it works great!

My Polaris plow (Glacier) mount had a gap at the mounting plate. Used the on the left and right side of the plow plate and Wala...no more wabble.

I picked this up with a purpose in mind; I have a desktop phone holder that's a really cool design and a ton of useful photography applications. The only problem - the rubber used for its feet and phone grip edge contact has poor adhesive. Parts have fallen off. So I acquired the 3M rubber product to replace the missing parts on my phone holder. So, how did it do....?The good: Alas, there is finally a rubber strip compound that will at least achieve parity with the factory original equipment. It seems to have a very good adhesive as well - but that is not a surprise, 3M started making adhesive for the "Scotch Tape" brand back in the day. They've been making adhesives for a long time.The rubber itself is easy to cut to precise dimensions in order to fit one's intended application perfectly. The adhesive backing peels easily, and the adhesive itself "cures" rapidly.The Less Than Good: Not really much to report here. While it does the job I acquired it for (and I anticipate other similar uses over time), it is a little thick for that purpose. No points or stars lost for that however. It is a general purpose raw material, so I am sure there are plenty of applications where it is the perfect thickness.The bottom line: There are probably a million uses for this. It preps easily, is durable, easy to cut and shape and will replace countless lost or worn rubber contact points. This is the kind of handy material that's just good to keep around for little maintenance tasks.
