These work great if you use duct tape to hang them. The tabs that are included are pretty much useless.

I recently got an in-window AC unit that let in a lot of light through the panels on either side. The blinds above it also didn't do enough to keep the light out, so I started hunting online for a remedy to my problem. I found this product pretty quickly and decided to buy it, since it was only $10. As you can see from the picture it's exactly what I needed! Total blackout on every part of the window that the liner covers. And on the reverse side it's a silver/metallic color to reflect the sun rays out of the room. So not only does it block all the annoying light coming in around my AC, it's probably gonna keep my room cooler. One final note: I hung the liner in place with pushpins. I didn't use the velcro so I can't speak to its efficacy.

I cut squares out of this big sheet of black-out drapery to shade the windows in the garage from the hot summer sun. I appreciate the soft tape measure that was included but preferred my stiff metal tape measure to guide the cuts for the shades. I did not use the sticky Velcro but used clips because these are not to be permanent. If I was to use it elsewhere in the house, I would try to iron out the wrinkles from the package folds. The synthetic fabric is slightly stiff but works well to keep out the sun.

This items works for temporary use! We installed it in my daughter bedroom as the sunrise is bright in her room. Cut to size and Velcro worked great. Pretty easy installation.

We only covered 2 windows so far, even though we still have enough to cover a 3rd or maybe even a 4th depending on what’s left over…The product itself is great but the glue on one corner for one window hasn’t held up twice today after being up for almost a month.. it appears to have been meting/dissolving after a few weeks..I’m not sure if I’ll readjust it’s position, use a different adhesive or just thumbtack/nail it to wall..Either way, I think the glue for the velcro tabs should be stronger and not melt in high temperatures, imo..If anyone has any ideas, for how to secure better, please let me know.. thanks 🙂
