Cut a little larger than needed. I cut to the exact specifications of my window Which left a few gaps. But this is my own fault. Great stuff complete blackout had a little extra to do my door window. Make sure to clean where your adhesion is going to go. And do the 10 second hold Or longer

The substantially dampened the light in the room, which was the goal. You definitely have to measure properly if not, you will not have the proper easement of light.

This has really helped to cool down my daughter’s bedroom. It’s helped to keep the heat and the sun out plus also keeps the neighbors barking dog noise down this is very functional because it can be moved and also has great staying power

This set up is pretty nice. Just installed it in our baby's room and the room is completely dark. I will recommend that you cut the fabric about an inch longer on all sides. Set the Velcro on the window with both sticky sides showing. Then start at each corner and press the fabric down on the sticky Velcro. Cut an inch longer and fold it inwards, I found that on corners that are longer and folded inwards, I see no light coming through. If you cut the fabric exactly you'll have light coming through. Overall 5*

I will say I had doubts that this would work very well even after looking at the reviews, but I was proven wrong! It blocks out about 99% of light that comes through windows. I put this up in my kids room because the afternoon sun shines through their windows during nap time. The only issue I had was that it doesn’t sit completely flush because of the Velcro, so some light does get in around the edges. But we have blinds up anyways so it really isn’t that big of an issue. I don’t think I would say this is great for travel however, due to the strong adhesive on the Velcro that you have to stick directly onto the window panes. It seems like it might be a pain to put it up/take it down in a short amount of time.

I wanted something to keep out light, but also to block the heat from coming through. It worked for keeping out light, but did nothing to keep the room cooler. Should have read the information on what it would do better.
