Your cart is empty.After hearing numerous requests to look into the rear bumper mount on the Traxxas Slash, we found several issues that could use the RPM touch. Those same problems were encountered on e-Rustler, e-Stampede & Bandit vehicles using the stock wheelie bar mount. The problem – the stock mount uses only a single screw on the gear cover side to hold the mount in place. That causes a hinge effect under rear impacts causing the slotted area holding on to the rear skid plate to pop off after an impact, leaving the stock bumper / wheelie bar mount hanging under the chassis. The RPM solution An all-new bumper mounting system that eliminates all of the problems encountered with the stock version. The RPM rear bumper / wheelie bar mount has two mounting holes on the gear cover side and three on the motor side – that's two additional mounting points to eliminate that annoying hinge effect mentioned above. The additional mounting screws help disperse impact energy into the transmission case over more surface area, reducing the possibility of damaging the case significantly! The new RPM mount design means no more slotted parts hanging below the rear skid plate – ever! Our mount tucks up quite nicely behind the skid plate for better rear end ground clearance. Our rear bumper / wheelie bar mount fits a wide range of vehicles too. It fits all versions of the Traxxas Slash, electric Stampede, electric Rustler and Bandit including VXL, XL-5 and legacy versions. The RPM rear bumper / wheelie bar mount is molded in our nearly indestructible blend of nylons and is sold in either blue or black. Each mount comes with all necessary hardware, complete instructions for ease of installation and an industry-leading warranty to back it all up!.

Anothet bulletproof part from the folks @RPM. It is well designed with excellent fit and finish. Installation is a snap thanks to the included illustrated instruction sheet. High quality Black Oxide hardware for assembly and installation is included.IMPORTANT NOTE: This part is ONLY COMPATIBLE with the STOCK TRAXXAS TRANSMISSION !! It is NOT COMPATIBLE with the TRAXXAS 272R PRO TRANSMISSION. It CANNOT be modified for installation on the newer 272R Transmission as the hardware mounting points are in completely different locations.Overall, it's a great upgrade for stock vehicles to improve reliability and protect your investment from potential damage from backyard bashing and/or rigorous laps at the track.

For those complaining about the screw and nut at the spur gear cover brace, just flip the screw around and put the nut on the spur gear side. Worked like a charm for me!

This part is so much tougher then the OEM part. It bolts directly in pace of the OEM part. They do sell it in different colors but black was what I wanted for my Slash's color scheme. I have yet to break it on my Slash truck even with crazy landings or cartwheel crash's. It eliminates the bottom "forks" that the OEM Traxxas part had and won't dig into the ground and pop off like the OEM one does. The OEM Traxxas Wheelie bar will bold up to it if you're buying this part for the 2wd Rustler.

Easy to install. Bolted right up to my Traxxas Slash 2wd truck. Uses some additional mounting spots which makes it much stronger. Then easily mounted the RPM bumper right to this mount.

Fits perfectly in my traxxas stampede 2wd. The plastic feels very high quality and durable. It comes with all of the screws needed to install and instructions.

Fits perfect. It's designed to withstand impact much better than the Traxxas one. Plus those freaking Traxxas ones have two rails on the skid plate that always bend and fill up with grass/mud. In my opinion that was the single worst part on the Traxxas 2wd vehicles. Those were eliminated! Very tough and it stays close to the gearbox making things look more neat (I don't use a wheelie bar).I don't exactly like how this RPM bumper uses one of the spur gear cover's mounting holes because the screw and nut are hard to get on/off but I think RPM did the absolute best they could while still making it work within the original Traxxas design. I'd certainly buy it again.

Excellent quality product from RPM. Bolts on like a factory piece and protects the rear of the vehicle from hard landings, particularly on concrete. A little time consuming to bolt on, but worth it.
