These were easy to assemble. At the shortest height they feel sturdy and work great for my shorter handbags. I am disappointed because I ordered black to match other hardware in my closet, but these actually look gray, which you can tell from my picture.

Don't get me wrong, love these! I bought two sets and liked them so much I bought another set.Easy to put together. The base is separate in the box. You simply take the supplied tool and put a screw though the base into the post, tighten and you are done. This point of assembly allows some flexibility too. By that I mean, if your base has to fit a certain tight spot, but your bag would interfere with another or something, you can turn the post on the base to allow your bag to clear and then tighten down the screw to hold it in that position.The post itself has a slide up and down adjustment with a set screw for you to tighten in place when you find the perfect height for your bag to hang. Really simple to do.Bags look great on them and now I don't have that concern of my bag straps being stored in some funny twisted/folded position where they get all out of shape.Okay, here are my CONCERNS:I really only have two concerns.The first is the curved flat at the top where the strap fits. For some smaller bags with thinner more narrow leather straps, the strap tends to curve over the top nice, but then where the support of the metal arc ends, the strap goes abruptly down and creates a sharper angle there. Hope I'm explaining that well. Just concerns me as that might create a weak spot on much thinner leather straps. I keep my bags hydrated with leather lotions, but I think for some of my bags with this issue, I will perhaps put a piece of cloth or something on this edge to soften the drop a bit.My second concern is that the arch for the strap to fit on does not stick out very far from the post. Yes it is pretty wide and has accepted all the straps on my bags without problem. Where my concern is comes from the fact that some bag bodies are wider so that the strap hanger is set back from center. This causes the part of the bag not facing out to be resting on the post when hung. I'm concerned that over time I may end up with a mark or indent from where the bag side is resting on the post.What I have done to stop this is to fold up the dust bag for each bag and place it between the bag and the post. This spreads the pressure point and so I should not have that issue if it was going to be one. Does not look bad that way at all.Hope this is of some help!

Easy to assemble and looks sturdy. The only drawback is the edges and corners are sharp. I use them to hang some leather bags, but worry about whether they will scratch my bags. Have to use some material to cover the sharp area.
