My steering was making a noise. It turns so much easier and no noise. I feel as though I'm getting better gas milage as well. I highly recommend.

Power steering pump seemed quieter as soon as I put it in and the overall steering feels smoother even on the first drive. See if it improves more during the winter and in colder temperatures during start up.

I used this in a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland after removing the hydraulic cooling fan and converting everything over to 99 spec with electric fan. I like the fact that this actually is purple so if i have a leak down the road I don’t have to question if it’s transmission or power steering fluid. Also seems to be extreme quiet compared to past experiences with other fluid. Absolutely silent. Ill definitely be using this as my go to power steering fluid from here on out.

This is great stuff. I use it for gun oil and have never had any complaints. If it works as well for power steering as it does gun oil, you need some.

Very, very happy with this power steering fluid. I used this fluid in three vehicles (2005 GMC 1500, 2001 Sienna, 2004 Camry), all of which have many miles and were on original power steering fluids, and had varying amounts of whine. In all cases I flushed the power steering fluid by raising the front tires, disconnecting the return line to the reservoir, connecting the return line to a container to collect old fluid, and manually turning the wheel lock to lock a few dozen times with the car OFF. When fluid no longer came out the return line, i added a quart or two of new fluid, and then turned the wheel again, to clean remaining fluid out. Then i reconnected the return line and filled up the fluid. The sienna and Camry's steering whine immediately went away and feels great. The truck's steering is much better. I don't have a comparison to make to traditional dex ATF in the power steering fluid, which all these cars called for as OEM. I suspect it wouldn't be any better.

I don't normally write reviews...I am so pleased with Royal Purple power steering fluid I have to post this review.2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee, using a rebuilt power steering pump I installed myself. The pump has been in use for approx 5 years. I have always used the "good stuff". Synthetic power steering fluid only. I felt that was likely overkill, as I have never subscribed to the belief that synthetic oils were superior to conventional oils in average usage situations. (I use conventional oil in my engines.) No matter what fluid I had put in the power steering pump, there was a little whine when I had the wheel turned all the way left or right. I had always blamed the whine on buying a rebuilt pump and just assumed I would eventually pay for trying to save money by not buying a new OEM pump. Figured I would give this hyped-up Royal Purple stuff a try.Wow, Im really glad I did, as the pump runs totally smooth with no whine at any point in the steering travel, even at the ends. The whine didnt totally disappear at first but after driving for a week, its gone. I will try Royal Purple products again in the future.

I did a complete flush of the power steering fluid by connecting the return hose, the one that connects to the side of the resoviour, to a jug, turkey bastered the old fluid out of the resoviour, then continuously filling it with bottles of Max EZ, all while i had a helper turn on the engine and turn the steering wheel lock to lock. Be Careful though, the resoviour sucks in fluid extremely fast so be careful not to let it run dry or your system is going to have air trapped inside it, which isnt to hard to get out. On my Pathfinder, i replaced pretty much all of the old fluid as the return hose started spewing purple oil after a while. In all, it took 5 of these bottles, i barely had any left so i was cutting it close. During the test drive afterwards, i can say the steering is improved, not by a ridiculous amount, but it was def noticable, but that might not mean much as i havent changed the PS fluid for 90k miles and the old fluid was almost dark-brown/black. When i say "improved" i mean the steering was a bit easier, much smoother, imagine putting your hand on top of a bar of soap sitting on a table top, then turning your hand in a circular motion, thats how smooth it felt compared to my old fluid. Now to the fluid itself, I believe that Royal purple products are well made, except they advertise alot, and their products are overpriced. Still that does not diminsh the worth and quality of this power steering fluid. Bottom line, would i get their products again? Sure, i am confident it will serve extremly well.PS, Yes the fluid is actually purple, like all/most of their products.
