Yes, Bar’s Leaks Power Steering Stop Leak will help reduce noise from a low fluid condition. For all other power steering problems, use Bar’s Leaks Power Steering Repair p/n 1600.
Will Bar’s Leaks Power Steering Stop Leak work in all types of power steering fluids?
Yes, Bar’s Leaks is one of the few Power Steering Stop Leaks that is compatible with all petroleum based, mineral oil, synthetic fluids and Dexron / Mercon ATF. This includes all domestic, import and heavy duty power steering applications.
How much do I install?
Our 1630 (11 oz.) is designed for one bottle to be installed in a passenger car or light truck. Do not overfill. One bottle treats up to three quarts of fluid. For larger systems, use 1 bottle for every 3 quarts of fluid capacity.

Don't waste your...... No noise lever change. Doesn't work. Bad price unless it works. Don't buy. Fix your lines don't depend on this. Protection is not there. Longevity is short lived. Smooth pooring.

It was good to stop the squealing, but didn't stop the leak. Wasn't a lot of hope for this anyway and was a lot smaller than what I thought.

My '68 Cadillac's Power Steering BOX started leaking and I didn't want to spend time or $$$ on getting it replaced. Not yet.I figured this could buy me some time. Sure enough, the leak has slowed down quite a bit. I've driven a pretty fair amount miles (over a 100) w/out draining the pump and having to fully refill.For the price, it does what I need. I'll get the box repaired later this year...or...maybe later.Now, this Cadillac isn't a daily driver and it will all depend on how much you drive and how bad your leak really is.No, it won't repair a pressure hose or a crack in the pump etc. I believe it's good for expanding dried out, worn seals and it's thickness helps with "slowing down" the drain out of those seals.
