Any rowing longer than 5k this seat is a tremendous help

We have this one and also the thin one and use them both and love them both. The thin one is great for that quick 2000m warmup in the morning before doing strength training. This thicker one is terrific for when you want to do a longer row on the machine. Attaches easily and is comfortable. Does not slip. I did my first 5000m row with this seat and my bottom was happy I used it... I don't think I would have made it without it.

This was the third different cushion I ordered for my Concept2. The first one looked like a mouse pad and provided no cushioning, so I returned it. The second one was a bit thicker, but provided very little cushioning. My keister would be sore after only 15 minutes rowing. This cushion works great as a cushion, did a 60 minute row and had no discomfort. So it works great on that front.Gave it a 4 out of 5 because if your shorts / pants are a slippery material, you're going to feel like you're about to fall off this thing. Switched to different shorts and haven't had an issue with it, but something to be aware of.

Bought a cheaper alternative to this and found after a short period of use on the rowing machine ended up with a sore backside. Battled on with this for quite awhile and finally decided to buy one of these and after a few sessions I am pleased to say it is like night and day. Best money I have spent as now I enjoy what use to be quite uncomfortable.

We bought this seat cushion for our new Concept2 rowing machine. It fits perfectly and is very easy to attach and remove to the seat. Besides more comfort it gives a little extra height which makes it easier to keep a good position whilst rowing. We cannot say anything yet about how long it will last but so far, so good and it matches our expectations.

Rowing machine seats are the biggest enemy of those of us attempting to get in shape using this ergometric-total body approach in the gym or at home. Anyone who makes indoor rowing a regular part of their exercise routine knows exactly what I am talking about! Those hard seats wreak painful havoc on your backside, causing discomfort during and after you exercise. The 2K Rowing Machine Seat makes it possible to row for longer periods of time with the ease and comfort you deserve! The seat cushion is soft but firm and durable, and the straps located underneath the cushion keep it in place. I also have been able to strap the cushion to the hard seat of the recumbent bikes in the gym! A "must have" addition to your personal gym gear collection. Enjoy the ride!

I have very boney butt and it would hurt after a couple of minutes on my new rower. I research a lot of pads and purchased this one. It was okay but it raises you up pretty high and it wasn't that much more comfortable. So I purchased the Home and Rowe silicone seat. I liked it better than the 2K seat because it was not as thick and it's unique shape lets you adjust where your butt makes contact, so you can adjust the pressure points. It's pretty good. But I thought there must be something better, at least for me. Next I purchased the Hornet Watersports seat. It's made with polyurethane foam. It's fairly thin and it shape is similar to the Concept 2 rower seat. I can't tell you why, but for me, this one was the most comfortable. It has just enough padding to take the edge off my butt but thin enough not to significantly change your sitting height. I suspect pad choice is personal but the Hornet Watersports seat worked best for me. Also, it was the least expensive of the three.

The cushion fits snuggly on the seat of the rower and doesn't move during the rowing stroke. It takes a bit of getting used to as it is a thick amount of padding. I have used it for a month now and have had no problem with comfort on longer sessions of an hour or more.

After reading many reviews for many similar products, I decided the thin pads or pads with cutouts for my butt bones would not provide adequate padding or comfort, which is what I was looking for. I found this cushion that had all the features I was looking for and had a thickness that seemed adequate. I have been using it three times per week for the past month and can report that it performs admirably. It is easy to attach and adjust, stable on my Concept 2 rower and is removable if it needs to come off. The fabric cover is sturdy and does not bunch, crease, slide or fold. There is no sign that the cloth cover will stretch and distort the way it is positioned to surround the cushion core and the seams are still perfectly aligned with the core. It does not slip and the edges don't overlap the edges of the rower seat. I was concerned that the cushion might be high enough that it could allow tilting and a feeling of instability when I rowed or could distort my rowing motion because of the height but neither is true. I would buy it again if necessary and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a soft Concept 2 rower seat. Other seats cost less but this is a very good value for the way it performs and well worth the difference in price.

I don't usually take the time to leave reviews, but this pad is amazing! No more chaffing! I couldn't be happier! It fits the Concept2 Model D like a glove. The pad is thick but compresses down after about 30 seconds or so. I'm about 6' tall 210 lbs and the only reason I know it's there is because I don't have any discomfort during long rows (excess of 10k meters). The top of the pad is smooth enough to allow my pelvis to roll and my butt to flex but not so smooth that I slip when I don't want to. The bottom is covered in gripping dots that prevent the pad from slipping on the seat. However, even if the dots weren't enough to hold the seat in place, the elastic straps on the bottom would catch the seat before it slipped . The seat cover is porous, allowing the pad to get wet with perspiration, but I remove the cover between sessions to allow the pad to dry. The cover appears to be easily durable enough to withstand this. I have not washed the cover yet. Well done!
