ROTHCO USE TO MAKE A FAIRLY CLOSE VERSION OF THE 1969 tropical jungle fatigue. the material now is thinner and lighter and zipper a bit catchy up and down and they fit a bit more like sweatpants now than fatigues. After a wash however they do come into it slightly and are wearable for home use in my opinion. I have original Vietnam issue, I have rothco reproduction from 5 years ago and now these. For hanging around they are ok. The cut and design are accurate just a quality drop in material and zipper as other reviews say. The size is accurate.

I had a pair of these from 98/99 that I picked up from a local military supply shop that were too big for me to wear anymore and was looking for a replacement. After searching the local shops and finding nothing similar and having the shop owners tell me to check with Rothco’s selection I found these.Size is slightly bigger in the waist and crotch than I expected (I’m a 32 waist x 31 leg) and definitely the length of the legs are much longer than my last pair by about 2 inches (34” long based on the garnet tag). I was able to cinch the side adjusters almost fully closed, Amazon suggested a small, but based on the chart I ordered the appropriate size which should be a medium. I don’t know how much they’ll shrink so I’m going to order the small and see how they fit.The fabric for these is thinner than my original pair and will probably not last as long as the ones I had before, which I wore for about twelve years. As others have stated the leg drawstring is not the tight cotton cording anymore but a synthetic shoe string style which stretches too much for my liking. It can almost double in length.Other than the small changes to the design construction is the same. I also had a light khaki pair from around the same time that featured a gusset crotch for mobility. These don’t have that either.Without any better options these should do for most activities. I may get a few pair in case they stop making them and in case they don’t last more than a couple of years.Update:The mediums were way too big and i swapped them out for a small. The small fits much better in the length and waist. Initially a bit tight for me, but after washing and hang drying with a slight stretch to the waist band with a clipped pant hanger, they fit perfectly.Already a lot of compliments and asks of who made, where I bought.

I was iffy on size picking.. However, If you follow the size chart.. You're good!!! A medium fits dead on for me.. #nobelt... These fit perfect!! The picture made it seem there wasn't strings at the bottoms like they show in other pictures.. But they're there.. Very comfy... I have these for work.. I usually work in -1 to -20. Goes well with the right long johns too... The length maybe abit long... But I'd rather the bottoms bunch up on top of my boots... They're roomy as well.. So you don't feel restrained while wearing them all day.... Can't go wrong with this purchase... Not too mention I got the item 5 days b4 the expected delivery date... Highly recommended!!!I only trust Rothco for my Fatigues/Camo Gear.....

Giving 4 stars only because of the price. These trousers have the features of and look like real ones, including color/shade, they are a decent copy. My experience with the seller was great, very prompt. I ordered a medium as the Rothco chart indicated as I am a size 34, these pants fit tight; if you are on the border of sizes, go bigger. These are about the quality I expected. They are very lightweight and comfortable, don’t know how durable they are though.

La tela del pantalon es muy fresca y ligera y luce como si tuviera ya algunos años de uso lo cual es genial ya que se ve muy vintage se me hizo un poco caro pero al final vale la pena la compra.

If you are looking for Vietnam type Fatigue pants, these are the pants for you. I actually have some USA-made issue pants from the mid 1970's(NATO numbers are on the tags) that I bought 30 years ago at my local army surplus store and the Rothco pants are a close but not exact copy of them and that is a good thing. As a collector of military items, I am glad that Rothco did not make a 100% accurate fatigue pant as they would be resold on the internet as real issue Vietnam clothing. The differences I can tell are: zipper instead buttons for the fly, 1 button per rear pocket flap instead of two, less stitching per inch on seams than issue, lighter weight rip stop cotton material than issue, round cord for pant cuff ties instead of flat nylon tape, a slightly lighter color of OD green, and the addition of the bandage pocket in the left cargo pocket that my issue pants do not have. I have used these pants for camping, hiking, Scouts, etc as I prefer the feel of the cotton material over the nylon material you find in the outdoor stores currently. These pants are sized to be somewhat loose fitting and are sized proportional, meaning that size Large will have somewhat larger pant legs and cargo pockets than size medium or small. The size large pants I ordered had tags that said Large Regular, but the length seemed almost a Long which is better for me anyway. My suggestion would be if you wash them and want the size to stay the same, wash them in cold water and hang to dry. You can buy actual 1960's issue pants on the internet but you won't be paying Amazon prices as I was seeing them on the internet for $100 plus.

Aloha Dave, Thanks for the unbelievably great service and great trousers. I just ordered two more pair. The four you sent me got here in only four days. The FedEx driver accidently delivered the package to the wrong address, down the street, but thanks to up-to-the-minute excellent computer tracking, a really nice agent at the local office and the great driver, he was able to retrieve it and hand it to me within a half hour of him logging the drop-off into the system. It was an incredible experience and all involved should be proud of themselves. The ripstop cotton trouser material is not as tight weave as the original cotton poplin, but is cotton, soft, breathable and really comfortable here on the construction job in Hawaii. So much better than going home in wet sweaty denims at the end of the day. You made a crazy week at work so much better... big mahalo. The originals came in short, medium, long and extra-long. These have a single length per size and run long, so I cuffed them three folds.. fine with me. I removed the draw-cords.. no need to blouse on the jobsite =)Made in china.., but, what isn't? Wish they were still made in the USA.Sizes seem to run true, get 'em, you'll love 'em.Happy to be back in my favorite pants... thanks Dave, so much. I'm back for more now and I'll be back again, guaranteed!Amazon and Dave, thanks for the great service and free shipping.Mick... Stoked in da islands
