As a Chicken Enthusiast, I must give this a 10/10. All of the baby chicks I get, are little monsters. They tear everything up and usually within minutes of the waterer and feeder being in the brooder, it's filled with pine or dirt. Having something like this that stands up a little higher makes not only clean up easier, but helps their water last at least a day. it is fairly easy to clean and there isn't any assembly needed.

I like it has a top that a chick can't suddenly jump up and fall into. When the chicks 1st arrive, no legs up works fine. Once they gain some size, putting the legs up, helps reduce flicking and waste and stays cleaner as the chicks aren't jumping onto it. It holds about a litre or quart as you will and was sturdy enough they aren't tipping it so far. I'd like a 2 quart waterer like this with feet for the same purpose.Imo, all waterers and feeders should have this leg feature. It only adjusts once but the legs snap into place.

Be wary of using this feeder/waterer using the legs. With only three legs, they are not sturdy, and the waterer toppling over in my coop resulted in the death of two of my 6 week old chicks (one clearly tried to jump on top to roost, which caused it to fall over; it looks like the one who was on top fell into the wall and broke her neck, while the waterer landed on another one of the chicks and crushed her). It was a tragic loss and I am devasted. I ALWAYS confirmed the legs were fully snapped out and both feeder/waterer were stably placed after filling, but I cannot control feisty girls landing on top of feeders/waterers in their coop overnight. The lack of stability of an advertised and widely used feature is obscene.I will never again use this waterer/feeder using the legs, and will only use it by hanging it.

1. The legs don't work properly. They fall right out when you try to extend them.2. The lids don't close properly. There is no way to lock the lid onto the food container either, so it falls off very easily. Get ready for lots of leaks and food waste.3. The price is ridiculous. This is cheap, flimsy plastic that should be priced WAY cheaper or just not sold at all. You are better off making your own.

Ordered these in March getting ready for my chicks in April. I went to go set up my brooder today and I took out the food and waterer. Unfortunately the feeder bottom parts were extremely hard to put together AND the one leg on my water container is broken. It won’t hold in place and keeps falling off. So sad. This would have been perfect for my chicks next week. And of course, I’m a few days too late on my return window. Hoping Roosty’s sees this and sends me a new order.

Was supposed to receive 2 feeders and 2 waterers. Received instead 2 complete feeders, 1 complete waterer, and 1 waterer top and an extra feeder bottom. 🤔😩 When we went to use the one complete waterer, one of the legs was broken. It kept slipping out of the plastic "slot" and would not stay in or stand up level. It still works if hung, but the reason I purchased this particular item was for the flexible set up that it offered. So disappointed because the concept is a great one. Be nice if it came with a chain and S hook for hanging...

We are raising some chicks; they are about 3 1/2 weeks old now. These feeders/waterers are OK, but the "adjustable legs" leave something to be desired. They do not "lock in place"; they are rather flimsy. I would say, the concept is good, because the adjustable height is great for them as they grow, but they could be constructed in a better manner so that they really do lock in place.

I needed another set for my new hatchlings and I was really tired of those cheap and brittle ones that barely last a season, so I went on a hunt. This set is brilliant! Top fill on the feeder is so smart and easy! I always dislike having to fill one that has a bit of feed left, so you end up losing feed just from filling. The waterer is simple and easy to use with no nooks and crannies to get moldy, so it's easy to clean. Here's the amazing part........ The adjustable legs are everything! So smart to be able to use the same feeder/waterer from just hatched to full adult! I've got one adjustment up to make and it sounds silly, but I'm looking forward to the day I get to adjust the legs to full height!
