It uses a rain gutter installation method, which is very convenient to load and unload. It does not require additional drilling or modification of the body structure. It protects the roof well and is firmly installed, so there is no need to worry about shaking or noise during driving. The ladder rack is designed to be very sturdy and has a load-bearing capacity sufficient to handle the luggage, ladders, kayaks or other outdoor equipment required for long-distance travel, which can fully meet various adventure needs. And its height is designed just right so as not to affect the removal of the hardtop. Jeep owners do not need to repeatedly disassemble and install the ladder rack when using it, which is very practical.

A nice pair of rack crossbars that require the Jeep to have rain gutters on the hardtop. Most every JK only has them over the doors while the newer JLs have the length of the hardtop. The newer model is perfect for bars like these that need to be separated to be able to haul longer loads like kayaks, canoes, ladders and lumber. The build was fairly straightforward though the hardware all had to be sorted and assembled for use with the correct washers and nuts. Not a fan of the spring steel nuts used on the four movable tie-down points and the gutter clamps. How much more would it be to tack weld a nut on each of these spots? The krinkle coat covering is good, the stainless hardware should last thought the lock washers and flat washer were a bit skimpy on quality. I used a deep socket & ratchet handle as well as a 1/4 drive impact with an appropriate Allen head socket. It sped things up quite a lot. There is not spare hardware so don't kick a nut under your bench where you can't reach it. With a claimed capacity of 500 pounds, double check the owner's manual for what Jeep suggests for a dynamic loading on the gutters.
