I will be using this with a Canon R5 and the new 100-3000 f/2.8 L USM zoom. First of all, this cannot be used with a gripped body. As you can see from my picture, the body with a Smallrig 1/2 cage and hand strap just manages to fit into the top of the case comfortably. There is no room for the battery grip and the R5 in this case. It is just too small on the top. But the text notes that, so it is true, if you use a gripped body all the time. The 100-300 f/2.8L zoom lens fits very well into the case. First of all, you can leave the hood reversed on the lens and the circular bottom protective pad on the case supports and protects the front of the lens very well. As can be seen in the photos, it is long enough as well. However, I noticed that with the lens and R5 body attached, the case can close although the camera is a bit exposed as the top flap is made to cover the camera. The velcro holds the cover closed, but if you are looking to have this becompletely waterproof, at least for my combo, it is just an 1/2"-1" inch too short. That's okay with me, I'm still goin g to use it for the nice protective properties of the neoprene, that is really what I need it for. Lastly, I have an extended dovetal foot on the lens, and the lens still fits in this case, so no worries there.

Tested with a Nikon Z8 and 180-600mm. This combination only just fits. The hook and loop closure overlaps enough to engage but not fully seal. With the lens hood attached the body pokes out and the pouch does not close. The pouch lightweight and fairly thin but does offer some padding protection. The 'pointy end' has more padding and is semi-rigid.Looks good and works well but would have liked another inch with the Z8 and 180-600mm. I imagine this is a great fit with one of the more compact bodies.
