I ordered this rockler straightedge because the previous woodcraft was not straight & as well made. The rockler is straight & well made but the clamps are sorta cheaply made & the round metal “clamping pad” isn’t connected to the bolt well & when tightening the clamp, the bolt protrudes past the clamp base & into the wood doors I was cutting…unknowingly because the clamp is on the bottom of the door…I’m amazed the the clamp was designed & made so cheaply!…the clamps on the woodcraft were far better but the straightedge was not as good!…what a quandary…

Easy to asm sturdy works well. Seems to be good . Would recommend this item.. no issues at all.

This straight edge paid for itself in only one cut. I will admit it does take a couple of extra minutes to assemble and set your edge. But once its clamped down to the piece your cutting it will not move and provides a clean straight edge. After using it for the first time. It made me wonder why I waited so long to get one. The perfect replacement when you don't have the money to afford a track saw.

I bough myself this for my birthday. I love to do woodworking stuff and am a tad challenged when it comes to sawing in a straight line, LOL This handy dandy guide is simply awesome and well worth the money.

Nice straight edge and works great it just doesn't work for me as a general contractor on the go because it's hard to find a place to it stow away
