Low wind drag design it affected my mileage only 1.5 miles less. Lightweight and compliments my RAV4 nicely! It looks sporty and I like the aluminum finish better than typical black ones. I have to see how well it resist rusting as I live on South Padre Island. Very pleased with the purchase. Fraction of the cost compare to Thule or Yakima.Comes with locking keys too!Assembly instruction is very lacking in details and you have to be patient in assembling. I applied Lock Tight to all the bolts for security.

Stout enough to carry a full spair on top of caravan, that now comes without a fricken spair tire. At a total height of 6'9 it easily fits garage and drive thru car wash of 7'4. If this emits noise it's not noticeable with the sterio cranked up to hard rock.

The three center load panels slide into a channel in each of the basket's end frames. What keeps them positioned in place so they maintain their spacing and do not vibrate, are machine screws. These machine screws merely screw into a gap/channel (see photo). There is no threaded steel insert at either end of any of the five load supports (the two outer supports have a threaded steel insert at their center) to screw into, not even a threaded aluminum insert. Nope, they are held in place in part by tension from the two sides of the channel. I used normal hand torque to tighten the screws, and they easily stripped out. Incidentally, the unit was received dented and scratched; I could possibly dismiss that (one photo attached). Unfortunately, it was worth the $65 loss/shipping for me to return it. The two star review is because the user can improve integrity by using a metal welding compound, which I elected not to do.

Me and my wife have the same 24' Nissan Kicks and I have a luggage rack on mine. There is a little wind noise but nothing horrible or irritating, but if you can switch between vehicles like we can, then you will be able to spot the difference. There is no drop in gas mileage either and the movable tie down points make this really handy when loading up your car. The rack is rather easy to setup and placing it on and off the car isn't difficult although it could be easier. For the price though I think it is a really good rack and the boards are nice and wide so most stuff wouldn't fall through. It looks really good on my tiny nissan kicks too.

Assembly to mounted took about an hour and was very straightforward. Looks great on the car and I'm sure it will function as designed. As stated in the instructions the lock covers aren't very secure and probably could be pried off with a screwdriver. They also rattle a bit so not sure if they're worth it. Also, the arch side rail mounting points are pretty flimsy so the rails aren't for tying down things; they just help keep things from sliding off the side. The sliding tie down rings are a bit sharp so may cut into rope tied to them. Wind noise at 60 and above is very noticable but not annoying. Shipping was very fast and way ahead of the estimated shipping time. If you want a basket that looks better than the traditional black basket this is it.

Overall, this is a well built, strong, and lightweight roof rack. It's made of aluminum, which not only keeps it lightweight, but also makes it rust proof. It has a very unique, sleek, and kind of sporty design to it. Because of it's smaller and unique design, I feel it is mainly only suited for luggage and mall crawler type uses. Not so much for off roading and overlanding type situations. It was pretty quick and easy to assemble, taking only about 15 to 20 minutes. Mounting it was also fairly straight forward and it actually comes with two locking mounts that lock it to your cross rails. Which is definitely a nice feature. When mounted it is very solid and will actually shake the whole SUV when the roof rack is pushed or pulled on. Though I do like it in general, I actually ended up replacing it with an overlanding style cargo rack that suited my needs better. With this rack, you can't really mount the things to it that are often used in off roading and overland camping. Which is what I needed. It does have a set of T slots hidden in the front and rear rail so that you can mount things like bikes and kayaks to it if needed. However, you do have to partially disassemble the roof rack to access the T slots. For someone who only occasionally needs a roof rack and wants to keep a low profile and sleek look to it, this would be a great option. Because of its smaller size, it also would be good for a car. Overall, it's a solid roof rack and I would recommend it for town and city type of uses.In my pictures, it is mounted on a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK2).

I have replace and it's very inconvenient. I thought it was all intact but almost of the flat aluminum bars are damaged and with dents.
