Great bag for the price. The mat is a little on the small side, and thin. I got a 60m rope, fits in there fine but the mat is a little small for flaking it out.It would be perfect for a 30m or 40m rope, or for a beginner doing some short routes.

I've had it for a year. It's sturdy, holds a 60m rope plus shoes, harness, and snacks. I usually use it for my gym stuff but I've also taken it out for sport climbing outdoors. Not much more room after the above although maybe you could squeeze in a 70m instead. Backpack is comfortable, folds in on itself when not in use (or in case you wan to bring it as a separate bag), no complaints except it would have been nice to have external gear loops and a waist or chest strap. Still, for the price it's the best I've found.

I definitely bought this thinking "yeah, we'll see what the big deal is, I'll probably end up using it."Welp, I'm really glad I bought it. It's right up there with the chalk bag. It's not required for safety, but dang is it convenient and useful. Having the internal wrap to bundle up the rope, and then the cinch rope to tighten, and then the straps to make sure it's not gonna go anywhere... The design is genius, it's durable, and I now won't be climbing without it.

An ideal rope bag for storing, using at the crag or carrying your rope. It is made of sturdy material and is big enough for my 60 metre rope. Real value for money.

Not the most comfortable bag to carry. Very decent material.. Especially for the price. I can fit my sixty meter rope, Repel, Harnesses, and Extra caribbeans.

The bag is large enough to hole 30 meters of 11 mm static rope. I love the tarp with it's loops. You just tie one end to each loop. This way you will not have a tangled mess. The aluminum hooks are a nice touch. They are more heavy duty than a zipper. I found it for 20 dollars and I think it's a good value in this economy. It will be used at backbone rock near Damascus Virginia. It has a staircase on the back side. So you walk up the back and reppell off the front. I am 51 and I love to reppell but climbing is too much work these days.

This rope bag is great, It can easily hold a 70 m rope, and is very comfortable to wear as you're hiking out to the climb. It has extra long shoulder straps so you can even wear it over on top of another small backpack. It has a little pouch at the top that you can store a cordelette and a few carabiners in, or you can use that compartment to tuck the bag into itself. Great buy!

For $20, this is the best short-approach rope bag out there. Recreational climbers usually don't take long approaches (longer than 30 mins, 1 mile) and this bag is perfect for that purpose. I have used this with my 60M 10.2 rope which felt much heavier inside of my old black diamond taco bag which I had to ditch because of it's lack of being a backpack. Having a cheap, sturdy backpack for this price is awesome.Final note - the tarp on this bag is very small, so if you are looking to keep your rope clean, then it the cheapest option would be to simply purchase a tarp and cut it to fit the size you need (8' - 8' is probably right if you're that much of a stickler). You can easily fold that tarp up real small and stick it in this bag with the rope instead of buying a much more expensive rope bag.
