This was a birthday gift for my 4 yo grandson. He loved it! He caught some toads and had them in the specimen cage in no time.

I bought this as a gift but it is not packaged for gift giving. It is also VERY overpriced for what you get. So disappointed.

This is a nice kit for kids that brings fun back into educational items. It is easy to use and the quality is decent (I wouldn't try to give this to an avid insect collector or anything). As long as your kids aren't especially hard on stuff, I can easily see this outlasting their interest. The cards are probably the best part of this kit, as it encourages them to look for specific items in nature and learn to identify those items; from tree leaves to flowers, and more. The tweezers, clamp, and net are a little on the cheap order, but it doesn't detract overall from the experience.

My grandkids had this kit for ten minutes and the tab ends on the strap were broken off and the lid to the bug box was broken. I tried twice to contact the company before leaving this review but got errors after typing everything out. Don't waste your money here. It looks cute but doesn't last.

Helps entice the kiddos while hiking or just having some backyard play. It has everything you need and the carrying cases to take along the way. Lots of tools and even little flashcard keys for naming certain plants etc. Very fun and cool product, would make an awesome gift for any little explorer, adventurer, or bug finder out there! I would have loved this as a kid.

I was thrilled to get this explorer's kit today. Every single item is outstanding. Worthy of the investment, expect this kit to be an heirloom to be passed down. It's that wonderful, sturdy, and well made. The fun is never ending. Good for explorers of all ages. The canvas bag is a quality addition to the collection. Great when a toy comes with its own container for storage. Great gift idea for girl or boy . Great participation toy to include parents, siblings and friends.EVERY YOUTH EXPLORER'S DREAM

Our son is very engaged and loved playing with this bug catcher. For the price I was a little shocked when the net already came shredded looking. After a few times playing with it the doors broke off, pieces went missing that hold the door on, and the plastic all cracked on each piece. Disappointed!
