The plastic body cracked and split near the outlet side. By the time I discovered it, my yard and my neighbor's yard were flooded. What a mess... Worked well until that happened....

I had to reduce the fitting from 2" down to 3/4 " to use a garden hose. The filter is the right size for my drip system and is made of metal. It is large and a little cumbersome to clean the filter but overall I am happy with the purchase

Used with 1.5hp irrigation pump and pond fed irrigation system. Seems to really handle the volume of water and do the job.

Amazon doesn't ship the filter with the magnifying glass-shaped key to take the bottom half off even though they show it in the product pictures. I tried multiple times to get it but I guess they just don't send them. I just used some pipe wrenches to get mine off. Also, the top two ports are not drilled out when shipped- which was fine with me. I believe the bottom drain plug is 3/4" FPT even though IrrigationKing told me it was some random European pipe thread type. I later easily installed a threaded valve on the bottom for easy cleaning. Overall, it works great though!

This filter has done great at keeping my water meter in good shape and my sprinklers running. It was an easy install, feels tough, is easy to clean out, and allows plenty of flow. I really did not notice a flow difference with or without this installed unless I forget for a few days to open the valve I put on the bottom and let it rinse itself out (which to me is good, this shows it is actually filtering stuff out!).

I have two of them. The mesh is really fine and gets silted almost immediately (I am withdrawing the water from a stream). There is a coarser mesh, but it is out of stock everywhere. Generally for an irrigation filter there should be a much wider variety of available parts.

This filter is a lot bigger that I expected. Perfect size for my 2" service and 5 valve stations. Great price as well at less than half what a replacement 2" Sonntag would have cost me.
