I had to measure out the connections as something was off. Turns out both RJ45 pin 4 and 5 were connected to DB9 pin 5 (GND), leaving DB9 pin 1 empty. For me this was no problem as I had to rewire anyway so I cut off the RJ45 plug and attached a new one with my desired wiring.Anyway, like my title says, if you have any issues or doubts, you better check the connections using a multimeter.Other than that the quality was good.

Perfect for my networking project of restoring some vintage computer equipment. Beware if you buy this, don't think it doesn't work. You may have to remove some pins from the 9-Pin connection depending on what you are doing. Just be sure to research which pins that you need to remove.

Our company uses these to connect our VFD to a modem in remote areas. We have all but eliminated any issues we had with other cables and adapters. I add a ferrite core to eliminate the potential noise and this saves us thousands in unnecessary troubleshooting call outs.
