Use it on public land with my daughter for deer. Bought a solid bar and 2 wheel barrow type wheels to build a way to roll it into the woods. Simple and cheap. The stand is very sturdy and easy to put up if you don’t use the last ladder piece. Daughter didn’t want to be too high up. Still put us in the trees and able to see everything. Takes 2 or 3 minutes to put up by myself. Use the safety strap or you will fall. Great size for a 6’ 240# dad and a skinny but tall 13 year old. 2 of me would be tight but still safe and doable.

This was my 1st ladder stand and all I can say was it’s about as simple as you can get EVERYTHING is prepackaged.Just follow the directionsI managed to set it up by myself in the field.Very comfortable. There some slight fitting issues but that comes with mass produced items!

These stands are awesome to hunt from. Very comfortable and quiet. Built very well. They are a challenge to put up tho. Two or more people are definitely needed but I don’t always have the help so I improvise with my four wheeler. Once they are up tho they are solid.

It is a rare thing to find a product that's this well thought out from top-to-bottom, start-to-finish. The entire process from assembly to installation on the tree were utterly seamless, and I couldn't be more pleased with the whole process. It has an excellent instruction manual with corresponding bags of hardware for each step of the instructions (it'd be great if everyone would adopt this tactic as it makes installation so much simpler). It took about two hours to assemble the platform and about a half hour to put it on the tree. You will need a second person for the tree portion as it is fairly heavy, but two people is sufficient for installation.I also can't stress enough how safety is emphasized in the design of this stand. The strap system that allows for a safety strap to be run around the tree from the ground is absolutely brilliant! Whoever designed that system that makes it much safer for the end-user deserves a raise!The platform is spacious and well-designed with every aspect having a purpose and excellent functionality. I'm going to be hunting both archery and rifle out of this stand with both adults and children, and this stand fits both weapon choices very well with the drop-down, highly-adjustable shooting rail and foot rest that can be left up and then put out of the way as needed. The seat is very comfortable, and I've never had any issues with fabric seats being messed with by small rodents. The ladder is very sturdy and can be ascended and descended without making a racket. It did come with adequate safety harnesses, but most people will probably want to spend $50 to get a harness that takes less than ten minutes to get into.Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied with this stand. It is excellent in every way! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

*** 3 YEAR UPDATE ***About to enter season 4 with this stand. Held up exceptionally well, no broken parts, no rust. Still sturdy after 3 seasons. The room this stand offers, especially the platform, makes hunting so much more comfortable and safer. To me, the best 2-man on the market, after sitting in at least 4 other brands.You need a 2 person stand even if you never have a 2nd person with you. Very sturdy and large so (knock on wood) there should be no accidents. The mesh seating is comfortable with no middle bar, so sliding around is easy and painless. With the seat flipped up, there is no feeling of possibly falling while readying your gear. oh, and the ability to strap to the tree from the ground is much safer than having to need people hold it while you climb up or use another ladder to secure the straps. 1st season so will be interesting to see how it holds up, but so far so good.

The stand arrived by UPS in very good condition and no issues, but it's advertised as 600lb rating, but the box had a nice sticker over that number reducing the weight rating to 500lb. This needs addressed in the Amazon description. This stand is heavy, pushing 125lbs, so don't think you're getting it out into the woods by carrying it on your back or dragging it. It was a 3-plus hour assembly in the woods and the directions, while generally good, had some ambiguity about them that delayed certain steps. Because it's so darn heavy, it took my 6ft son, my wife, and me to get this thing vertical against the tree. The Lockdown System is genius and needs to be included on every stand. It's so simple of a concept, but makes that first ascent and strapping the stand to the tree effortless and SUPER SAFE.I've now hunted out of this stand for two full days with my son and there are pluses and minuses. I can attest to the sturdiness and stability of the stand; we were pushing 475 in the stand with no movements at all and the straps all stayed safe and tight. The way that the footrest and gunrail adjust and tuck out of the way when not needed: awesome. When those items are tucked away though, it's really easy to get into the stand, but you feel pretty exposed. I feel way more exposed in this stand than others I have used in the past, which would make it great for archery, but takes away from some of the safety and perceived security of a side top rail of other designs. The seat is comfortable for about 5 hours, but you'll want to bring a pad for anything longer than that. Would I purchase again? Cost to value is good, especially the Lockdown System, but if I was buying again I might go with another design that's a little cheaper with a more enclosed feel.
