I have one of these in each of my back packs. They write awesome. The lead refills are easy to get on Amazon. I keep several to replace as needed.

Los materiales son muy buenos, es algo pesado sin llegar a ser molesto, el grosor y escritura de la puntilla es muy diferente a las demás, me gustó mucho, la goma borra muy bien además de que no se marca tanto al escribir aún aplicando mucha fuerza

I used to write very small, I have found the 1.3mm lead size to be great for reading my notes especially when using the RITR notepads which due to their durable nature the pages never tear so I don't have to transfer notes from it to another medium for a long time.

I have dozens of drafting pencils. Cheap pencils, very expensive lead holders, all brands, all useful. I like this one better than any of the others, the lead diameter is perfect for almost any applicatio. The lead is dark, like a soft 4B, but firm. Doesn't wear down easily. The front end is nice to hold and well weighted. A great quality tool at nearly ANY price. I love mine.

The lead is longer than what comes with the pencil by default which is nice. I do not think you can fit two full pieces of led into the pencil at once, but thats not really an issue. The lead marks and holds up well while marking on paper and SMOOTH wood. I had to switch to my carpentry pencil for an unfinished plywood sheet. Again, not a huge surprise since it is a thinner piece of lead. The red shows up well and can be differentiated from a red laser during cutting or leveling.I just prefer the black led aesthetically though.

Seriously this pencil is like over-engineered for military purposes. It is HEV-EE. Have used a lot of mechanical and drafting pencils in my time as a land surveyor and in drafting work and this thing has some heft. But the action is smooth as can be. Haven't had the opportunity to utilize the eraser but it seems to fit tightly into the pencil so no falling out under normal conditions. A bit speedy but quality writing instruments aren't cheap. Only knock, as some others have said, for the price and extra eraser and a few leads would be nice.

Strong sturdy build quality. Pretty comfortable in the hand maybe could you rubber grip but not really necessary. Easy and functional. Thick lead so not constantly snapping. Good bang for your buck

Liked the fact that the lead in the pencils were stronger than my other mechanical pencils. The eraser worked without tearing the paper.I loved the different colours of the pencils as well. Not so easy for them to hide in plain site.

This Rite In The Rain pencil in much nicer then the older models. I like that it has weight to it and feels good in the hand. It writes very well and the lead deploys and retracts easily without any hiccups. I tend to press down hard when writing and always snap thinner lead pencils. This 1.3mm lead is great and after just a few pages of writing can tell it's going to be one of my favorite pencils. I did not rate the durability do to just receiving it but I have no doubt it will last a long time. I gave the value 4 stars because for a pencil at this price it would have been nice to receive extra lead and a couple erasers. It will be another 14 dollars for lead and erasers but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. My original Rite In The Rain pencil is now three years old and still going strong but it just feels to light and small in diameter in my large hands. I like the metal pinch area and just that little large diameter makes a big difference when writing for long periods of time. Is it worth it, I think so and I would definitely purchase another one. The eraser works very well and the lead is super strong. I read a few reviews on people breaking these pencil's so I applied pressure to the plastic part with my thumb and it was plenty strong and I am a welder with large strong hands. Maybe don't sit on it or purposely try snapping it to test it's strength. Well worth the money if you use it for what it was fabricated for. You can't go wrong with any Write In The Rain product but then again that is just my opinion after using there products for years. Heavy handed approved.
