This was fantastic, I used it instead of the car module to turn on/off heater fan and control the speed in such superiority smoothness than the car speed controller does.. It handles 30 Amp .Switch has Stop/Run positionsVery well built. Cheers

Used for a kids ride on toy. Be aware that although you can "overvolt" certain motors above their rated voltage (up to 18v), SOME controllers of these motors are only rated for 12V...so additional wiring etc is needed.

I used this product for a slot car test bed with thoughts of using them to create a balance of performance on each lane of the track due to lane, car or driver variances. Also wanted to be able to use it for electric motor break in, but the directions indicate it shouldn't be used at low voltages.

After poking around a bit with my oscilloscope it seems like the load inductance forms a LC circuit with the drain capacitance of the mosfets which rings when the load is switched. The ringing gets into the gate (through the mosfet's miller capacitance) which sometimes causes the mosfet to turn on again. This leads to runaway behavior since the LM555 can't keep the mosfets off when they are supposed to be.I was trying to use this to control the speed of one of these inline blowers: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EX02DA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

I liked that it works exactly as hoping. Very low heat while in use. Two thumbs up

This little unit is incredibly powerful. It works perfectly, and I love it. My motor takes 25 amps, and the unit is holding without overheating. I have no idea how long it will last, but so far, so good. If you buy this, you won't regret it.

I find these speed controllers work well with after market electric rad fans. As a bonus it is simple to add a thermistor to the device for auto speed control. The thermistor I used has a resistance of (approx)13.35K ohms@(approx)19.5C ( temperature) and the resistance decreases as the thermistor warms. To wire in the thermistor you are simply wiring it in parallel with the potentiometer ( speed control adjust ).3 wires out of the potentiometer on the board, hook up the thermisitor wires (2) to the two outside wires coming from the potentiometer- very easy. The board speed control knob can be adjusted to suit desired minimum cold engine speed or no speed depending on the application etc.

I have about 25 landscape lights on a 24v DC 5amp transformer. Everything worked but the lights were a bit bright for my taste and the transformer was loaded and running warm. The lights are nonpolar leds that can operate on AC or DC power. They are listed as non dimmable which is true. I tried using a dimmable led transformer/driver and it did not work. This PWM motor controller works great as a dimmer for these landscape lights. Not only could I adjust the brightness to my taste but it also unloaded the transformer. It's running much cooler. The whole system uses less power now. Very happy. Oh, and the unit is running coll and stable. No flickering at all.

I've ordered ones like this before and they work great even years later but there have been several over the years that don't last at all like as soon as there is voltage flowing into it, you hear a pop. When you're lucky it's just the fuse you can replace it it's just inconvenient. Other times I've heard a pop and the fuse is fine but no good on the rest. Each time it was all hooked up correctly I've had it do it with 12 volt several times this most recent one was 56 volts but both are well within the range of what it's rated for. No load had been applied yet in any of the instances.

I purchased these not expecting a whole lot out if them but I have a DC brush motor and gearbox from one of my old wheelchairs in my shop that I use as a wench with a cable and pully system when I need to lift something. The response is awesome turn the dial and change the speed. Now I can set things down gently every time without having to bump the motor off and on and struggling to lower stuff slowly and on target. I am glad I got these, and two of them for a very nice low price. This is an awesome deal. I'm building a conveyor to go from my garage to my back door at the kitchen to unload groceries. I'm going to use the second one to slow the conveyor so I can load and unload it with ease.
