The Rikon 10 Inch 1/2 HP Delux Bandsaw is an upgraded version of the original 10-inch Bandsaw. The Rikon 10-3061 bandsaw includes numerous new features that make it easy to operate and allow for quicker adjustments to the blade, guides, and fence. The table has a left tilt of 5 degrees and a right tilt of 45 degrees, allowing for easy placement of the material being cut. Rikon's 10-inch bandsaw has an increased cutting capacity, 2 blade speeds, and an increased 1/2HP motor are quite ample enough for most small projects, and will be appreciated with woodworkers having limited shop space for a larger size bandsaw.

I put off a bandsaw for quite some time. I have enough other tools and while a band saw would be handy, I can do the same thing 10 other ways. That said. I’m happy I finally got one as it’s been an amazing tool and opened new doors and possibilities. This saw has had zero issues cutting through hardwoods in both small curvy cuts and rip cuts. It’s very easy to set up and it’s made simply small cuts safe and easy. Although it may take an extra second to cut through vs my Cabinet saw. This is a pleasant simple machine that I come back to whenever possible. This is also small enough that I leave it on the end of my assembly table. In the future if I need to rip large pieces, sure I can upgrade. But so far this has done everything if needed and taking up a tiny space. The cast iron top has also been wonderful as I pop a Magswitch feather board on and cut without worrying about drift.

Starting with the packaging, the unit was shipped, arrived early, and was in great condition. The inside packaging was well designed and effective. The included instruction manual was thorough, clear and effective in aiding the set up. The packaging of the assembly parts was the best thought out of any equipment I had received.Assembly was easy, and went through the process quickly. Very easy to set up, and the assembly and initial set up by the factory required only minimal set up.Operation of the bandsaw is flawless. Cuts wood like butter, and the finished cut requires minimal clean up. Fence accuracy is spot on, once you consider the minimal cleanup required.Overall, the saw lives up to the product reviews about it on line. Highly recommend this for your shop.

Very impressive build quality at any price but a super value. Highly recommended. Minimal setup time. Nice feature set. Mitre slot is smaller than typical and didn’t come with mitre jig, but that’s the only negative. Would buy it again in a heartbeat. Even resaw of a small log worked great after adjusting the fence to fit the blade tracking. The fence accommodates slight angle adjustments. :) Great product!

Most bandsaws sound like an old gas powered lawn mower when running. This machine has a precise, quiet and quality sound that is a first for me. If you've owned Jet machines, and I have several, this is a definite cut above them in terms of quality. The only cheap piece I've found is the trunion, but it does not affect the adjustments or function of the machine.I use the machine for making templates and notches, don't expect to be able to do significant resaws with this machine. I have a 15" Jet that I can now leave a resaw blade in place for the large jobs, and keep a 3/16 on this little gem. If you hate changing blades, like I do, get this as a second machine for your highly curved cutting jobs and leave your large machine for resaws. This machine made me a Rikon fan, the quality is really impressive.

saw is working great so far, setup was good with clear instructions and I'm happy with the cuts I can make. As others have said the fence is of poor design, would be good if it clasped on back side of table for a secure installation. I can work with it, just have to be careful. The scale on front rail is not accurate to actual cut but again I can use ruler to measure from blade to fence to obtain accuracy.

This Rikon 10 inch bandsaw is amazing. I recently purchased this bandsaw to replace a 30+ year old 10 inch, still-working, but now very dated, Craftsman bandsaw, after many years of reliable use. It takes a little time to assemble the Rikon bandsaw correctly, and get everything adjusted straight and true to the blade. However, once everything is setup the bandsaw cuts very well. The toolless guide-bearing adjustments make setting up the blade very easy. The tracking and tension adjustments also work very well to keep the blade cutting straight, or curved, when necessary. The bandsaw comes with a nice adjustable rip fence, and I also purchased the Rikon miter sled (not included) with the bandsaw. The bandsaw has onboard storage for the assembly/adjusting tools and the rip fence. This Rikon bandsaw is very quiet while running and cutting. It is also large and very heavy (over 80 pounds) compared to other bandsaws in the 9 and 10 inch cut class. I mounted the Rikon bandsaw on a portable rolling stand, which really helps with moving the heavy bandsaw around the shop. If you are looking for a good 10 inch, high-quality hobby bandsaw, but don't need a big 14+ inch cut monster bandsaw, then look no further. This is a heavy duty, high quality bandsaw, and not some cheap "toy" like many other brand bandsaws in this 9/10 inch cut class seem to be. The Rikon bandsaw is also a little more expensive than the others, but it is so worth the price for a real bandsaw. I highly recommend this Rikon 10 inch bandsaw.

My workshop consists of the 43 inches between the front bumper of my truck and the east wall of the garage. I mostly use hand saws, since there isn't enough space for a lot of power tools, but this 10" Rikon bandsaw has proven to be well worth the room it takes up. I built a small wheeled cart that holds it, along with my 1 gallon air compressor. I replaced the blade with a 1/2" resawing blade, and keep a 1/4" blade handy for tight curves. I've resawn 5" cedar and pine boards, and 3-1/2" oak, walnut, and poplar boards with no problems at all. I've also ripped 12" to 14" sections of English walnut and birch logs. I don't do a lot with plywood or MDF, but when needed, it worked fine. I rarely need to rip anything thicker than 3/4", but it's always handled any wood I fed it.The fence is good enough, and I have a miter gauge on order. I tend to fuss over setup, so it's handy to have the tools mounted on the saw case for quick adjustments, The fence storage is clever. The ability to easily relax blade tension when not in use is HUGE. Highly recommended. Just clean it after every use, and it should last for decades.
