I am an ER physician. This splint is of the same quality used by EMS workers in the field. If someone hurts an ankle or breaks a wrist, this will make the hike out much more tolerable.

I purchased the splint to keep in my hiking/camping first aid kit, something that is often left out of many affordable kits. It has exceeded my expectations. It’s exactly as described and pictured—lightweight, flexible, and surprisingly sturdy thanks to the aluminum core. I love that it can be rolled or cut to fit virtually any injury scenario, yet it’s easy to reshape and store afterwards. Plus, the waterproof closed-cell foam is a bonus for the inevitable wet and muddy conditions when adventuring outdoors. Overall, this splint is incredibly well-constructed and offers exactly the strong support and convenience I was hoping for. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor first aid gear!

While I haven’t used this yet (thankfully), I have played with what it does. It’s very sturdy and it gives the impression of what it will be able to do. The weight isn’t heavy, but it is very sturdy. The size that I have (there are several) is midsize and well suited for the job it’s meant for.

Light weight, Seems like good quality. I didn't even know they made these, but it was a good value and could be invaluable in an emergency ( we're pretty hard on ourselves when we camp and hike). I have already had to cut a bit off for a quick splint for a puppy's sprained leg until we could get to the vet. very easy to cut, functioned great and the soft, moldable design made it easy on the pups foot. (Much better than popsicle sticks 😆)

This thing is big, compact, very visible, and light. It doesn't fit in my IFAK I have on my EDC bag, but it fits perfectly in my 6x6 pouch. If you're Active Duty, First Responder, or have experience with flexible splints, this is an awesome item to have just in case!

For years, I have used these in the field and when I teach Wilderness classes. If taken care of, the shelf life can be about 10 to 12 years. The most important thing is to select the correct size. But these are easy to form into a lot of different shapes and X-ray transparent (will not interfere with x rays). Which is very important to minimize moving broken bones and minimizing discomfort.
