Very elegant looking nice for an owing coach or athlete. It came well packaged and has a nice weight to it.careful with the edges as they may be sharp.

This is a fantastic gift. It is an excellent likeness of a real hatchet oar blade. I've seen similar gifts from well known rowing related companies going for twice the price, so while this isn't cheap, it's a decent deal for what it is. While this will gather fingerprints/smudges, it does have some degree of resistance to them.The original manufacturer box arrived destroyed. Almost every corner of it split. However in my opinion the entire purpose of manufacturer packaging is to protect the product itself, which it did. Since it was packed in several layers of foam and plastic wrapped the blade arrived undamaged despite the damage to the cardboard.Pros:Realistic likeness to a real hatchet oar blade.Excellent attention to detail, all the edges that could be very sharp and cut you have been ever so slightly rounded for safety.Nice weight, gives it a good luxury feel.You get to choose how you want to display it.Cons:Doesn't come with any kind of display stand. It will not stay up on its own.
