Spanned 20 feet or better. Retracts perfectly. Great concept.

I love this clothes hanger and it works great. Very reliable and easy to install. The only problem I have with the manufacturer is they provide cheap worthless screws to mount it with. If your drilled hole has any bur in it, these cheap screws crumble, they'll snap right off in the hole you just drilled. Then you'll have to get pliers to back it out if possible or you'll have to move the device to a new location. I would have given a 5 except for the lost time due to poor quality screws.

This was simple to install (as long as you have something to attach it to) and is very easy to use. I have hung many wet towels on it and it help up and stayed tight. Very durable. Easy to retract when done. Very happy with the value for the money spent. Saving energy by not using the dryer feels great.

Bought this to use ocasionally on more delicate items and not use my dryer. So far I have had to throw out 3 shirts and sustained stains on a few items of closhes after they fell to the ground. The unit is a good idea but horrible execution with cheap parts. The line is long but it's very stretch and if you put more than a few items it stretches to the ground. The locking mechanism is useless and slips nonstop so the more items you put the closer they get to the ground. On top of being stretchy, the line is also made of some vegetable-based insulation material that squirrels absolutely love to chew up. I have put up the clothesline twice now and it has been chewed off by squirrels twice now (see photos). Luckily I was able to pull more string out and create a knot at the end to re-attach it but the next time I hung my clothes (I tested with just one small blanket) the squirrels chewed the line off again. This didn't happen with my old metal line at my old house. The pins are flimsy and 3 of them already split already from simple use.

We bought this after saying goodbye to our worn out rotary clothesline. The idea of a retractable line makes a lot of sense and seemed to be just what I was looking for.Installation very simple. The reel mounts to an available flat surface with a couple screws and the hook for the line on another surface. Simple, easy and quick.I installed the hook on my shed only 20 feet or so away and a second hook in another, more distant location. When you go to use it you connect the line to your hook, and then you need to loop the line around the built-in post on the bottom of the reel to keep it from releasing more line when you hang something. The problem I’ve seen is this: if you only loop the line around the bottom of the post once, it won’t hold and the line will sag.So you need to loop a second time around the post. This works fine keeping the reel from dispensing line - and it minimizes sag. When you are done and want to reel the line back up, however, the twice-looped line is caught and doesn’t want to release easily. You have to pull hard to get the line loose and I can see where the line is getting damaged from being so tightly squeezed together.I anticipate the white outer layer of the line is going to rip in a short time, and THAT will cause a major issue.Holding at 3 stars for that reason. If I’m wrong and this holds up better than I fear I will up the rating.

I live in a condo and with that comes an HOA. I read the reviews and ordered the item and so far I love it. I love that I can retract the clothes line and hide it so I can hang dry my curtains and other items that I am unable to place in the dryer since the HOA does not allow clothes lines. Very important thing I saw in the reviews is that you need to tighten the clothes line. If I didn't see that on the video review I would of not figured it out on my own and the line would of been flimsy.

I've had 2 of these, I've never had one break or had any issues like that. It works well if you have a realistic expectation for it, it's never going to perform like a traditional clothesline because it's not one, but it works well. It's also easy and convenient to use.

this clothesline was delivered on time and in good condition. It was rather easy to install (we did have to use our own screws because the screws were not of any quality) and simple to use. I was afraid of the line drooping when I put clothes on, but it doesn't. I use it on a daily basis, and have not had an issue at all. Recommended
